Specifying mortar for public realm projects made easy. All parts of BS 7533 with the exception of part 13 are being condensed into 2 parts, part 101 & 102. Part 101 published August 2021. This seminar provides detailed information for the specification of paving mortar to BS7533 part 101. It highlights new requirements such as permeability and changes in mortar description i.e. type B in now type 35. We take a look at eco mortar, what makes it eco & what impact that will have on your project in terms of CO2 savings. Terminology, traffic category, pavement build up, application depth, joint width, primer, sealing are all topics covered. By the end of this seminar delegates should: 1. Be able to specify paving mortar in line with the latest British Standard. 2. Have an understanding of traffic categories. 3. Have an understanding of product application.

A detailed look at paving mortar for the public realm in line with BS 7533, how an eco mortar option can lead to a significant reduction in carbon, quantified by trees grown over a 10 year period, or not driving a car calculated in miles not driven.
