Formed in 1999 Hetherington Newman has grown out of a shared passion and expertise for creating premium quality, bespoke furniture and architectural joinery. Inspired by the beauty and precision of historical detail, whether elaborate or minimal the company is experienced in working with a wide range of materials and techniques.

Hetherington Newman’s ethos is firmly rooted in the belief that its products must stand the test of time, both structurally and aesthetically. To achieve this, takes design expertise and skill in choosing the best quality materials, components and techniques for the job in hand. With a large well-equipped factory in Derbyshire the company embraces a combination of CNC machining with skilled hand work to achieve a consistently high quality of work with pin-point accuracy and a craftsman's finish.

Directors John Hetherington, Ben Newman and Mike Fetherston, oversee each project ensuring the exceptionally high standards, that discerning clients rightly expect, are maintained throughout the process. Consequently the company has build a solid relationship with a number specifiers and it is often commissioned for the specialist joinery on whole house projects across the UK.

As Ben Newman explains ' We see our role as less about selling and more about providing expert design and manufacturing resources for architects and interior designers as well as private and corporate clients.'

Hetherington Newman understand the challenges faced when managing a full building project with so many complex areas to coordinate so takes in pride in making the architect's life easier when it comes to their area of work. Unlike most joinery businesses, they have the design and specification expertise in-house and you and your clients are always welcomed to visit either of showrooms in London and Knutsford to view plans, samples, appliances and physical examples of details.

Once instructed, the team take responsibility for producing presentation and working drawings, liaising with project managers to monitor site preparation and then the installation itself. A ten-year warranty gives you and your clients comfort that the company stands by the quality of their workmanship, but they understand the importance of reliable after-sales service and have the teams in place to deliver whatever is needed when.
