Gort Scott won the commission to design high-quality commercial office accommodation for Jesus College at 51 Hills Road, Cambridge. Located in a conservation area, surrounded by listed buildings, Gort Scott were briefed to design a building that would serve as a lasting asset to the College, whilst making a positive contribution to the surrounding area. The team at Gort Scott wanted to produce a design that moved away from stereotypical ‘office block’ architecture and to provide a more contemporary structure.

Inspired by a 1950’s Barbara Hepworth textile design, Rosie Irving and Antonia Young wanted to create a modular system that would incorporate seating and planting areas, transforming Hepworth’s 2D original textile into a 3D scheme. Rosie approached Haddonstone at the concept stages of the design so that our team could advise the best solution to create the 3D version of the Hepworth textile, whilst remaining versatile and practical.

Octagon approached the team at Haddonstone to manufacture high quality stonework for a new development on Bishops Row in Fulham, London. Bishops Row is a terrace of nine elegant houses running parallel to the River Thames. The deceptively spacious 4/5 bedroom townhouses are centred around family living with high specification finishes. The design features innovative outdoor spaces including courtyard gardens, balconies and terraces overlooking the river.

Alderley Park is an exclusive residential enclave, offering three distinct styles of living in a collection of homes beautifully designed by internationally-revered architect Robert Adam. Haddonstone was approached to supply architectural stone to two of the luxurious developments at Alderley Park, both of which boast a variety of differing but complementary styles.

Situated in the small village of Holdenby in rural Northamptonshire, this private family home features a traditional Victorian, red brick design. The owner of this traditional home felt it was in need of a grander entrance. Haddonstone was tasked with designing a portico (or porch) in order to transform the façade of the property.

The Duchy of Cornwall’s Poundbury development is the urban expansion of the county town of Dorchester in Dorset. Covering 400 acres of land, it’s the vision of the H.R.H The Prince of Wales, and has since received worldwide acclaim from architects, town planners and academics alike. Haddonstone were asked to supply the architectural stonework for the prestigious Royal Pavilion, which would be the main focal point of the Poundbury development.

Set in one of South West London’s most desirable locations, Wimbledon Hill Park is an exquisitely crafted development incorporating three luxury developments, Dukes Gardens, Wellington Row and Cedar Place. Each development is a contemporary interpretation of original Victorian designs.

Following sustained appearance at the Big 5 Exhibition in Dubai, Dar Al-Handasah, designers of the Qanat Quartier, a superior residential development on the Pearl, were sufficiently impressed by Haddonstone to specify its architectural and ornamental cast stone pieces for extensive use throughout the development. All properties in the Qanat Quartier enjoy a waterfront perspective and the developers have created their own Venetian canal system, even including a mini version of the rialto bridge. The vibrant colours and precise detailing reflect the architecture of Venice and combine them with the advantage of the climate of the Persian Gulf.

Our client bought their estate, an idyllic countryside retreat bordering Windsor Great Park in Berkshire, in 2008. Set in 68 acres of mature garden, it includes ancient woodland once part of the Windsor Great Park. Our client meticulously project-managed the development of their new luxury build, which included a large redbrick mansion and two further buildings on the same site.

Tregunnel Hill, is one of two developments in Newquay which were commissioned by the Duchy of Cornwall to champion sustainable development environmentally, socially and economically. To enhance the façade of the development we worked closely with C G Fry to choose a portico that was in keeping with the development design. After much consideration it was agreed that the Gibbs Range of Classical Porches would be the most suitable in terms of style and quality of finish.
