Gradus Esplanade Plus primary barrier matting was installed to the main entrance and Boulevard 5000HD secondary barrier carpet to all side entrances, both in colourway Jackdaw (black) helping to reduce tracked in dirt and moisture and reduce overall maintenance costs.

Gradus has provided LED Step Lighting solutions for a new cross-media venue based in Nottingham, creating an atmospheric lighting effect while aiding wayfinding.Confetti X, a £5m complex at Confetti Institute of Creative Technologies, part of Nottingham Trent University, offers students state-of-the-art technology for esports production, content creation and other emerging technologies like virtual production. The 100-seater venue features a large video wall for 4k broadcast complete with LED wings and hosts amateur and professional esports tournaments.The Gradus ATD121L Aluminium Step Profile was supplied and fitted on the steps in the seating area, featuring the company’s 5w Gradus Impression 3000k Warm White commercial-grade LED tape to ensure long-lasting reliability. A selection of control equipment was supplied, including an RF controller with a wireless hand-held remote, enabling the theatre to control and adjust the lighting as required.

Over 800m2 of Gradus Latour2 carpet tiles have been installed in the prestigious offices at Argyle House, Edinburgh, Scotland. The overall management for the transformation of Argyle House would be the responsibility of Edinburgh-based real estate consultants Hollis. When specifying new flooring for the refurbishment programme, Hollis chose 825m2 of Latour2 carpet tiles. Designed from a floor plan service supplied by Gradus based on the client’s inspiration, the project would include Gradus Latour2 in Howden and Alston colours. Maggie Smith, Business Development Manager at Gerflor commented, “The design scheme needed to be of a neutral palette which would appeal to potentially any new tenant in the building, so we proposed a modern and contemporary grey theme and alongside this added a vibrant splash of colour around the perimeter. The final finish is impressive, and the client is delighted.” Gradus Carpets is a brand of the Gerflor Group, manufacturing premium quality carpet tiles and planks, broadloom, and impervious backed carpets.

Gradus, has installed LED Step Lighting & LED Architectural Lighting at the historic Alhambra Theatre in Dunfermline. The theatre, which recently celebrated its centenary, has undergone a refurbishment, which involved the use of several Gradus products to enhance its overall aesthetic.The Gradus ATD71L Aluminium Step Profile has been installed on the steps of the theatre, offering both upward and downward-facing illumination. This enables patrons to easily locate their seats, while also creating an attractive and inviting glow inside the theatre. In addition, the Gradus DLA45 Aluminium Architectural Lighting profile has been installed within the floors to illuminate the aisles and walkways, providing wayfinding assistance, and adding a subtle touch of elegance to enhance the theatre experience. Both profiles were installed with Gradus’s brand-new Impression LED system, featuring a 5w spotless LED tape in red.

When a Manchester-based interior design company needed to source high quality flooring for their client’s office premises, they turned to international flooring specialist Gerflor for a fit for purpose solution. For this major refurbishment, Gerflor would supply over 1100m2 of Gradus Lunar Carpets, specifying ‘Rook’ and ‘Moretus’ as the colour choices.

Swansea Council has transformed the support it delivers to pupils either outside or at risk of leaving mainstream education by building a brand new £9.64M school. When ‘scoping-out’ the project Swansea Council in conjunction with the contractor, would specify over 2000m2 of Gradus carpet tiles for the flooring element of the project.They would ultimately opt for the ‘Streetwise Design and Stratus designs for the school’s classrooms, corridors and communal areas.

New Homes Carpeting, based in Harlow, Essex is one of the biggest contract flooring companies in the South-East of the UK, it is respected for servicing some of the UK’s largest house builders.Making the decision to re-fresh and modernise their Harlow head office, New Homes Carpeting specified Gradus Urban Myth carpet planks from international flooring specialist Gerflor, knowing that it would deliver the ideal solution for the unique and striking finish they wanted to create in their modern premises.

Gradus has supplied and installed a range of bespoke wall protection solutions throughout the new Same Day Emergency Care building at the Countess of Chester Hospital. Fitted by the Gradus Contracts Team, the system includes wall guards, corner guards and combination handrails.

A complete wall protection package from Gradus has been installed at the 3Ts development (Trauma, Teaching and Tertiary care) for the Royal Sussex County Hospital. The project, planned in three stages, comprises of the replacement of the buildings to the front half of the Royal Sussex County Hospital. In their place will be two brand new clinical buildings and a much-needed service and logistics yard.

In order to meet the latest guidelines on creating safe stairs, the stair edgings incorporate slip-resistant inserts in colour Glacier to provide a tonal contrast with the carpet to define the step edge in normal conditions; whilst the lighting helps students and staff to safely navigate the lecture theaters in darkened conditions. The stair edgings have also been used to complement the streamlined and modern interior of the lecture theaters, replicating the design of the grey desks with green highlight detail onto the staircase for a co-ordinated appearance.

The Christie was seeking a solution that would provide it with all the benefits of wall protection in terms of reducing lifecycle costs, while being as invisible as possible, creating a less institutional and more relaxing environment for its patients. To make this vision a reality, Gradus worked closely with the hospital throughout the process. Having worked with The Christie before, we were thrilled to continue our relationship on this prestigious and rigorous ProCure 21+ project. The project was an excellent example of our supply-and-fit service, highlighting how we work closely with clients and supply chain partners to deliver the project on time and exactly to specification

Installed throughout the common room and seating areas on the ground floor, Times Square carpet tiles in colourways Grey and Natural complement the modern, contemporary design ofthe building and its interior. Furthermore, Skyline carpet tiles in colourways Trinity (beige) and Empire (grey) were installed throughout the corridors to the bedrooms.

Gradus has supplied and installed a range of wall protectionsolutions at the East Midlands Congenital Heart Centre, helping to create an engaging, child-friendly atmosphere while making the building interior more hygienic, easier to clean and cheaper to maintain.The Gradus products installed include SureProtect Design wall cladding, finished with a bespoke printed design that shows a cartoon solar system to give the corridors a different feel to the wider hospital environment. The bespoke design is printed onto the back of a clear textured sheet meaning the cladding is easy to clean and features a textured surface to conceal the effects of impact and abrasion.Elsewhere in the hospital, Gradus installed its SureProtect Endure protective wall cladding, a durable layer of wall protection that is through-coloured and textured so surface damage does not show.Standard corner guards have also been installed, offering acost-effective solution to protect vulnerable corners, as well as door frame protectors also made from SureProtect Endure. All have been carefully positioned to provide maximum protection against the constant stream of pedestrian and wheeled traffic that hospitals experience.Gradus provided Leicester Royal Infirmary with its supply and fit service, which sees the dedicated Gradus Contracts Team take the project from initial survey to design, manufacture and through to installation.

Gradus products were supplied throughout the Darwin Building. GXT51 stair edgings with interior inserts in Snowdrift (white) were installed on the main staircase. Boulevard 6000 barrier matting was also installed at the main entrance of the building.

Whitby Hospital is a Community Hospital providing inpatient, outpatient and community services. Humber Teaching NHS Foundation Trust provides community and out of hours services to Whitby and surrounding areas, and currently has a population of approximately 14,000 residents. A selection of Gradus Wall Protection systems alongside Gerflor flooring was specified for this critical ProCure 22 project.

Corner Block is a high quality and prominent multi-let office asset located in the bustling centre of Manchester. When the design studio, appointed by the developer APAM, required the highest quality flooring for the workspaces within the office areas, they turned to international flooring specialist Gerflor to assist with the much-needed refurbishment. Gradus new Lunar Carpet tile collection in the ‘Moretus’ design was specified, with over 300m2 installed suiting the complex and its users perfectly.

Gradus has recently installed its market-leading Wall Protection systems in the new NHS Rainbow Community Hub in Elland, West Yorkshire, which provides healthcare for young people with complex healthcare needs. 

Bespoke wall protection from contract interior specialist Gradus is creating a fun and attractive atmosphere at a state-of-the-art new medical facility, while also ensuring excellent hygiene and low maintenance costs. Evelina London Children’s Day Treatment Centre, part of Guy’s and St Thomas’ NHS Foundation Trust, has been built to provide more life-changing care for children and young people with rare and complex conditions. Overseen by Morgan Sindall, the project saw Gradus collaborate with Art in Site - a London-based studio of artists, designers and strategists – and ADP Architecture, to create a wall cladding solution with integrated art that helps the hospital’s young patients to heal, learn and thrive.

Gradus has collaborated with Vinci Construction and AFL Architects to transform a state-of-the-art medical facility, the new Community Diagnostic Centre (CDC) at the Broad Street building in Halifax ensuring both functionality and aesthetics were prioritized. The purpose of the CDC is to enhance accessibility to diagnostic tests for our patients by offering a centralized location for various community services. The project involved the installation of various Gradus products across multiple rooms, enhancing the environment for patients and staff.Products Used SureProtect Artworx was specified and installed in various rooms such as ultrasound rooms, an x-ray room, a scanner room and waiting areas. The bespoke printed wall cladding was specifically chosen to create a calming and visually appealing atmosphere, using high-resolution biophilic photography. This product not only adds a touch of art to the walls but also protects the wall substrate, making it ideal for healthcare settings. Gradus Standard PVC-U Corner Guards in colour 002 Gravel have been installed throughout the building to protect corners from impact and wear. Corner guards are crucial in maintaining the integrity of the walls, especially in a busy medical facility where equipment and foot traffic can cause damage. SureProtect Endure textured wall cladding was installed in different colours and heights throughout the new CDC building. In the staff kitchen, SureProtect Pure was selected for use as a splashback. SureProtect Pure is a smooth, hygienic PVC-u wall cladding, that combines functionality with a fresh clean look, providing an easy-to-clean surface. In keeping with the Biophilic elements, SureProtect Design in 062 Light Oak was installed in the cannulation room. This product’s wood-effect finish brings a touch of nature indoors, creating a more inviting and comfortable space for patients.Throughout the building, Cover Formers with Capping Strips have been used, to provide a seamless finish between the walls and floor covering. Sit-on skirting have been used throughout the building to ensure protection at the base of the walls but also adds a polished and professional look to the facility. Project Highlights The integration of Gradus products has significantly improved the medical facility’s environment. The use of SureProtect Artworx and SureProtect Design has added visual appeal, while the Standard PVC-U Corner Guards and SureProtect Endure provide essential protection. The application of CF20 Cover Former and Gradus SI150502P sit-on skirting ensures a cohesive and polished look throughout the building. By choosing Gradus, the facility has successfully created a space that supports both patient well-being and staff efficiency, demonstrating the impact of well-designed protective solutions in healthcare settings.

When Base Architects wanted to re-develop their Shrewsbury office, they turned to international flooring specialist Gerflor to supply a mixture of their Gradus carpet products. The project would include Gradus Latour2 Howden and Dovedale, together with Gradus Emphasis Orange and the Gradus Boulevard 5000 range in colour Moorhen.
