This project suffered from a variety of issues including water ingress through the original render which in turn allowed dampness to penetrate the solid brick substrate, the customer decided to attempt to hack off the original render but damaged the solid brickwork behind. The Rendering Company installed a Terrix polymer silicate system, using various steps of preparation including fungicidal wash, bonding primer and multiple coats of dubbing out to straighten the walls, after completely wrapping substrate unsung microfibres mesh within the base coat we applied stainless steel fixings to eliminate the chance off delamination, since the systems had been applied issues have been alleviated from the property. Due to Terrix being a vapour permeable product the render system allows the existing property to breathe without any water penetration, Eradicating the damp issues inside.

Terrix Repair and Crack Restoration SystemsAteb Housing Association had faced a number of issues over the years, at their Croft Court sheltered homes accommodation. The harsh marine environment had damaged the existing cement render to such an extent, that in large areas the render was falling off the walls. For years they had been looking for a solution, with minimal disruption, at the right cost.The Terrix system was the answer to their problems, a repair system which could be applied without the residents being moved out, at a cost within their budget leaving homes looking good long into the future.Areas where the render was blown and hacked off, where dubbed out using the Terrix restoration render. Existing render was then secured using the Terrix unique, cross mess with fixings, ensuring the strength of the existing render. The building was suffering form significant deterioration of the existing render, colour fade, delamination, cracks and causing water ingress.All typical of the standard popular renders used in the UK. The solution was to introduce Terrix polymer silicate render systems.A proven age old system used extensively in Europe for restoration and new build properties. Applying the Terrix restoration overcoat system, combined with the Terrix 2 coat polymer system, both spray applied allows minimal disruption to the property and fabric by leaving most of the existing render in place. This significantly reduced the labour element, speeding up the restoration and reducing disruption to the building fabric.

Terrix® Algae Repair and Crack Restoration SystemsWales & West housing association had a problem with a large number of their properties in South West Wales. There is a unique algae, which only occurs in the Pembrokeshire and Ceredigion areas.We sent samples of the algae to the Terrix laboratory’s to ensure our algae killer could destroy the algae. Once this was assured the process was very simple. Algae killer is applied to the wall using a spray pump. This is left for 24 hours then washed off using a jet wash. Primer then applied with a paint roller and left for 24 hours to dry and cure.
