AV Interactive Technology Immerses Visitors into The Hunger Games

Following the huge worldwide success of the blockbuster Hunger Games movie franchise, Lionsgate’s The Hunger Games: The Exhibition has opened its global tour at Discovery Times Square, New York City. Electrosonic designed, supplied and integrated the audio-visual systems for the 12,000 square-foot exhibition whose costumes, props, set recreations and interactive experiences deliver a dynamic fan experience.

Canada's Sport Hall of Fame - AV Design is a Win at the Sports Hall of Fam

Canada’s Sports Hall of Fame opened a new 40,000 square-foot space at Canada Olympic Park in Calgary that celebrates the country’s impressive sports history. Electrosonic’s Design Consulting team worked with Cambridge Seven Associates (C7A) and the media producers to design the exhibits, and also provided audio-visual systems for the new museum, which includes 11 exhibit galleries representing 58 sports, plus more than 50 interactive visitor experiences.

Dinosaur Hall at the Natural History Museum - Designing AV Technology to Showcase the Prehistoric Past

Visitors to the 14,000 square-foot Dinosaur Hall in the Natural History Museum of Los Angeles County experience the wonder of the prehistoric creatures through innovative exhibits enhanced by audio-visual technology. The skylit L-shaped Dinosaur Hall showcases the world’s only T. rex growth series of baby, juvenile and adult skeletons, and also features a glass-sided mezzanine where additional wall-mounted exhibits reveal more about the amazing creatures, demonstrating what it’s like to find fossils in the field and to study them in the lab.

Eaton Experience Center - Powering Up with a Stunning AV Chandelier & Curtain

Eaton, a power management company that provides energy-efficient solutions, opened a new campus in Cleveland, Ohio, which includes cutting-edge audio-visual technology to communicate its values and its leading position in power management end markets to employees, customers, suppliers, business partners and political leaders. Electrosonic was charged with designing the AV systems, media control and power management for the Center. The installation was conceived and designed by Ralph Appelbaum Associates (RAA). Electrosonic served as a consultant to RAA during the design phases, and was ultimately contracted by Eaton to build the installation.

Eversheds Auditorium Audiovisual Upgrade Maximizes Flexibility of a Multi-Purpose Space

International Lawyers, Eversheds, have recently upgraded the auditorium facility at their UK Headquarters in the City of London. Action Workspace provided interior design, with AV systems integration by Electrosonic. The auditorium includes a 4K capable Digital Media routing system with large LCDs. The main space has seating for 124 people, with presentations possible either from a top table seated panel or from two lectern positions. A separate “breakout room” can be opened up to provide an additional 50 seats; the overall AV system is configured to allow the two spaces to be used either combined or independently.

Eversheds Sutherland - Boardroom Exploits Latest Technology to Simplify Operation and Improve Collaboration

International Lawyers, Eversheds, have a new boardroom at their UK Headquarters in the City of London. Interior design was by Action Workspace while Electrosonic provided audio-visual design and integration. The new boardroom was originally a large meeting room with modest AV. It is now an ultra-modern, state-of-the art collaboration zone. With seating for up to 21 people, it caters for both formal presentations and multi-participant events. The new boardroom has provided Eversheds with a contemporary, versatile and highly functional business environment.

The immersive story telling experience explores what it means to be a hero and inspires visitors, culminating in the final exploration of humanity’s greatest frontier – space. Visitors get their chance to see the astronaut’s journey through his own eyes in this one-of-a-kind immersive experience.

High Resolution in Reception

The Reception area for one of Electrosonic’s clients, a London-based bank, now features two high resolution LED displays which show corporate and event related information. Each display is a massive 5.76m × 3.24m (18.9ft × 10.6ft) of 1.5mm fine pitch LED to achieve QHD (3840 × 2160) resolution. The display system, based on SiliconCore LED technology, was engineered and installed by Electrosonic in close co-operation with the client’s Corporate Communications and Corporate Real Estate Services teams.

Hult International Business School Campuses - AV Technology for the Business Classroom

Hult International Business School was established in 1964. In 2003, one of Europe’s most successful entrepreneurs, Bertil Hult, expanded the school to a global network of campuses that now form the world’s largest graduate business school. Electrosonic has provided classroom audiovisual systems featuring AV presentation equipment supported by local service operations for Hult campuses in London, Dubai, Boston and San Francisco, all to a common design. In addition, all campuses are connected to Electrosonic’s 24/7 Video Network Operations Centre (VNOC) in the UK for remote support and management

Kuwait Mall - Family Entertainment Center Sets the Mood for a Fun Shopping Experience

The Family Entertainment Center at the 360 Mall in Kuwait offers top-of-the-line rides, the latest video games and skills tests for the entire family. Electrosonic designed, supplied, installed and programmed extensive LED lighting, digital signage, video projection, special effects, audio and show control for the new complex. The center was created by the Tamdeen Entertainment Company and designed by Concept i Design, to the highest international standards of world-class leisure venues

LKAB Visitor Center- A Giant Videowall Lights Up the Frozen North

LKAB (Luossavaara-Kiirunavaara Aktiebolag) is the world’s technical leader in supplying iron ore pellets, acquired from underground mining, to the global steel industry. In 2012 it opened a new research center in Koskullskullle that includes a visitor center which welcomes guests to the nearby Malmberget mine. The center includes a flexible presentation space which can seat up to 120 people and includes a showpiece videowall comprised of 192 Christie MicroTiles. Electrosonic was responsible for the audio-visual systems design and integration, working to the requirements of LKAB’s consultant WSP.

New Global Command Centre Helps Barclays Deliver an Excellent Customer Service

Radbroke Hall is the site of Barclays Technology Centre, a long established campus employing over 3500 people. The centre is in a state of continuous development in response to changes in customer needs and the technology required to meet them. Its latest development is a new Global Command Centre, which was opened by the Chancellor of the Exchequer, George Osborne in December 2014. Detailed audiovisual systems design and the complete AV systems integration and installation were carried out by Electrosonic.

Polynesian Cultural Center’s Digital 4D Theater

The Polynesian Cultural Center (PCC) in Laie, Hawaii, enables visitors to explore all of the Polynesian cultures in the South Pacific. Set on 42 acres on the North Shore of Oahu, PCC has welcomed over 37 million guests since opening, becoming Hawaii’s number-one paid attraction. To celebrate its 50th anniversary, PCC upgraded its aging film-based IMAX theater, which was more than 20 years old, with a new digital 4D theater featuring audio-visual support from Electrosonic.

Stonehenge Visitor Centre

A Virtual Experience of Stonehenge Prepares Visitors for Seeing the Real Thing. The new Visitor Centre is located 1.5 miles from Stonehenge itself. Visitors to the centre learn about the site before being transported to the stones. The centre houses an education space, café, shop, a 360 degree film “Standing in the Stones” and an exhibition. The exhibition includes exhibits on “The meaning of Stonehenge”, contemporary artifacts, and “Landscape” an exhibit showing how the surrounding land evolved over the millennia. Electrosonic was responsible for audiovisual systems design and integration under a direct contract with English Heritage

The National Holocaust Centre and Museum - Life-Size 3D Projection and Voice Recognition Helps Share and Immortalize the Stories of The Holocaust Survivors

The National Holocaust Centre and Museum in Nottinghamshire, UK aimed to capture individual testimonies, secure artifacts and gather historical information, to bear witness to the atrocities of the Holocaust. Bright White, an innovative and creative design consultancy, were responsible for the filming, software development and integration, with Electrosonic subcontracted to engineer, deliver and install the presentation system and a specialist interactive developer, D3t, subcontracted to deliver the speech recognition technology.

The Olympic Museum - AV Projection & Interactive Exhibits Let the Games Begin

The Olympic Museum in Lausanne recently reopened after a renovation that effectively resulted in a completely new museum. Metaphor of London prepared the master plan and Mather & Co of Wilmslow did the detailed design. The museum has three exhibition levels. Level 1 is “The Olympic World”, covering such subjects as the origins of the Games, the Olympic Torch and Opening Ceremonies; Level 0 is “The Olympic Games” with exhibits on the Summer Games, the Winter Games , the Paralympics and the Youth Olympics; and Level -1 is “The Olympic Spirit”.

Tom Bradley International Terminal at LAX -Stunning AV Technology Takes Passengers to New Heights

The new Tom Bradley International Terminal at LAX offers passengers a unique travel experience with its Integrated Environmental Media System (IEMS), a series of seven digital media features integrated into the interior architecture that provides entertainment and information to passengers. Electrosonic was tasked by Los Angeles World Airports (LAWA) with the detailed engineering and system integration of the IEMS components, and the build out of the IEMS control room.

Typhoon Theater at the Maritime Experiential Museum in Singapore - Take a Plunge Into a 360° Immersive Typhoon Adventure

Visitors to the Maritime Experiential Museum at Resorts World Sentosa, Singapore can get an up-close look at a shipwreck in the Typhoon Theater where the Design Consulting team at Electrosonic designed the audio, video and control equipment to help simulate an amazing historical journey. The company was hired by Sunray Woodcraft Construction and worked under the general guidance of museum designers Ralph Appelbaum Associates. Super 78 created the content for the attraction.
