C-TEC is committed to implementing and promoting environmental sustainability. We have established goals for the continual improvement of the company’s environmental performance, the use and lifetime impact of the range of products, and for the prevention of pollution. We aim to reduce the impact of our actions on the environment and help our customers and partners do the same.

Through the company’s Sustainability Policy actions are applicable to all areas of our business and has been implemented to meet the requirements of ISO 14001:2015 based upon the following principles:

• Actions in accordance with best practice, comply fully with all relevant legislation and other specified Environmental requirements in order to enhance the quality of the environment and recycle materials as appropriate.
• Co-operate with national and local government authorities with responsibility for the regulation and monitoring of our business activities likely to have an adverse effect on the environment.
• Adopt procedures to identify and assess risk to the environment posed by our activities and the establishment of environmental objectives which lead to improvements in environmental performance.
• Seek to continually be aware of developments in products, materials and processes and where possible adopt alternatives solutions to further reduce harm to the environment.
• Ensure that all staff are fully aware of our Sustainability Policy and are committed to implementing and improving it.
• Ensure all suppliers, contractors and partners are aware of our Environmental Policy and encourage them to adopt similar practices.
• Annually review statement, and to continually strive to improve our environmental sustainability performance.

In order to put these principles into practice we will:

• Recycle waste including; paper, packaging, computer supplies and any redundant equipment with an appointed waste carrier.
• Reduce the energy consumption of office equipment by purchasing energy efficient equipment and good housekeeping. To minimise the use of paper and other office consumables.
• Prevent pollution, reduce waste and ensure wherever practicable, that measures are implemented to protect and preserve natural habitats, flora and fauna.
• Keep fuel consumption to a minimum through improved vehicle selection, trackers that optimise route planning, travelling together whether practical and driver awareness campaigns.
• Promote our Sustainability Policy and low environmental impact of C-TEC’s products in all our tender proposals to clients and contractors.
• Operate in compliance to our Environmental Management System is accredited to ISO 14001.

C-TEC aims to develop and refine its Sustainability Policy and environmental actions and initiatives by remaining abreast of current and future best practice developments and highest corporate standards.
