· Backwater Protection

Kessel have developed a broad selection of backwater protection valves designed specifically to prevent internal flooding due to sewer network surcharge. The Kessel inline flap valves, push-fit products, and floor drains with flap valve cassette, are all designed, manufactured and tested to fully comply with EN13564.

· Hybrid Lifting Stations

The Kessel automatic none return valves with over pumping products provide the perfect solution to allow the drainage system of a building to function normally even during a storm/surcharge event. Allowing free flowing gravity drainage under normal conditions, the systems seal the pipe protecting the property from backwater when flooding occurs, then prevent self-flooding from upstream waste water and rainwater, by collecting it and over pumping directly into the surcharged sewer. This approach is far more environmentally friendlier than the traditional “cut and Pump” solutions used in the past. The hybrid lifting station only pump when gravity drainage is not possible, meaning that for the majority of the time the natural slope of a waste water or rainwater pipe does all the work, saving energy, ware and tear on the system and reduces the impact of noise from continuously running pumps.

· Lifting and Pumping Stations

Fully designed, developed and tested to the norms, Kessel provide Lifting and Pumping stations to meet every application for waste water with or without sewerage, for residential and commercial properties. The range of lifting and pumping stations can be surface mounted, cast into the floor of a building, or underground external units, and are carefully sized using DIN 1986-100 and DIN EN 12056-4 and the respective annotations. The extensive range and types of pumps are controlled by a wide variety of sensor types, propriety panels and telemetry packages, and our overarching aim is to provide quality, robust, reliable systems, that are easy to maintain, and trouble free when maintained on a regular basis.

· Drains and Channels

The range of Kessel drains and channels cover almost all applications, including bathroom drains (point, channel and wall drains), floor drains (in ABS, Ecoguss®, and stainless steel), basement drains, and outdoor drains. All of which have been developed to meet the demands of both old and new construction techniques. Our strengths in this sector are born out of our attention to function and form. Where the aesthesis of a product are just as important as the need for a drain to meet the flow demands, the floor build up, or structural composition, and the integration within the overall drainage design.

· Separators

Kessel Separators are divided into Grease, Oil/coalescence, Sediment and Starch, with the leading sector being that of Grease Separation System.

For many years Kessel have been providing FOGs solutions to the European construction market, and IPS are now bringing that same expertise and success to the UK and Ireland. The design, manufacture, testing and sizing of our product is based on the standards and regulations in accordance with EN 1825. From NS 0.5 to NS35 we provide solutions with various levels of functionally, for freestanding and underground application, all of which feature design and application advantage un-match by any other manufacturer. Kessel and IPS provide a design calculation service for sizing, and a complete support package for all projects, taking a holistic approach to each “system” with the offering of sampling chambers, disposal chambers, level monitoring systems, loading bay kiosks, remote controls, and lifting stations for the separated water where a gravity connection is not available. Manufactured for PE Kessel tanks are built without using metal structural components, supplied with a 20-year warranty, and are 100% leak proof and corrosion resistant.

· Individual Solutions

Whether it’s a bespoke Grease or Oil separator, an unusual Pump Station, the need for a particular size of chamber or tank, onsite construction for confined spaces and difficult access, KESSEL have a full department specifically for “Individual Solutions”. We can work with designers, consultants and architect to come up with unique products and systems for any and every project through the inhouse team of designers and fabricators, essentially meaning that although the range of product presented in our comprehensive brochures cover most application, there is always going to be those projects that need special attention.
