Urbidermis (Santa & Cole group) has been committed to good design, responsibility, and urbanity since 1987. We specialize in urban lighting, urban furniture, microarchitecture, trees, and plants.

The company was created in advance of the 1992 Olympics in Barcelona, with the aim of renovating the urban landscape of our city and positioning it as a benchmark for urban design. Today, we work to make cities greener and more human. We are committed to more sociable, connected, sustainable public spaces, where the urban elements promote the best user experience and maintenance. Where light, water, rest, safety, and innovation find a rational, accessible place.

Today, Urbidermis is the world’s first urban furniture company to receive the B Corp certification - an achievement that represents our commitment to the community once again.

We partner with architects, landscape architects, lighting designers, urban planners, and public administrations from all over the world in order to improve the urban space. We have specialists on our team who will work to find the best solution for your project. This includes lighting studies, and adaptation of our elements to suit your needs.

You will find us at our headquarters in Parc de Belloch, a 200-hectare plot of land near Barcelona, which is also home to our tree nursery: Belloch Forestal. All our European woods are PEFC certified, while our tropical woods are FSC certified, ensuring the preservation of biodiversity. We are aiming to be self-sufficient in our consumption of energy, water, and food, and achieve a carbon footprint of net zero by 2025.

We are concerned about the durability of our products, and we try to achieve the best quality. We are committed to the United Nations Global Compact, in addition to auditing all our products. We have had Cradle to Cradle, ISO 9001, and ISO 14001 certification since 2009, and our wood is 100% FSC and PEFC. We manufacture locally, within 200 kilometers of Parc de Belloch: our headquarters near Barcelona.

Our elements have been designed to improve the user experience for all citizens, without calling attention to themselves aesthetically, and we always seek to minimize maintenance, thus facilitating their management.
