Description
A complete cassette-fix system specification for VitraDual and Vitrafix, plus fixings to the wall from Certifix (in partnership with Valcan). This provides a comprehensive warranty on the complete system. All Certifix provided products are tested and certified in accordance with ADB v2 for high rise buildings.
All batch numbers will be recorded, regular site visits to be made by Valcan and Certifix during the installation, frequency to be decided at order stage with client.
VitraDual:
A non-combustible A1 rated rainscreen facade panel available in 2 or 3 mm thicknesses, available in an extensive range of standard colours and customizable colour/ finish options.
Features and benefits:
- Cassette fix: panels are cut, grooved and folded for form a four-sided tray/ cassette panel with fixings installed in the reveals/panel joints.
- No oil-canning appearance.
- Offering a cost-effective and aesthetically pleasing facade solution.
- Lightweight and rigid, easy to install.
- Non-combustible: A1 rated to BS EN 13501-1.
- Versatile: Can be custom designed into a wide range of shapes and dimensions along with perforated or curved in some applications.
- Easy to maintain compared to polyester-based coatings.
- CWCT tested and accredited to wind loading of 3600 Pa safety loading.
- BBA accredited (20/5824).
- Highly durable and impact resistant, can be used effectively in high traffic areas.
- Finished with PVDF KYNAR 500 or FEVE paints, known for their high durability, providing the optimum resistance to weather and industrial pollutants.
- Warranty available up to 30 years; consult manufacturer for details.
- Extremely flat, low surface stress.
- Fixings are colour matched to the panel. Stiffeners as required are stud welded to the rear of the panel to give a non-combustible installation; consult manufacturer's drawings for further details.

Vitrafix systems:
Aluminium carrier system brackets, profiles and fixings which have been tested to BS 8414-1 and BS 8414-2 and are Centre for Window and Cladding Technology (CWCT) tested. Designed to offer a cost effective yet strong carrier system, and is suitable for all building types.
Vitrafix VF1: Adjustability of 102–235 mm and can be further extended by combining the Vitrafix VF2/TH system to give an additional depth; consult manufacturer for further details. Custom depth brackets are also available.
Vitrafix VF2: Comprised of aluminium or steel top-hats and C-channel rails to allow brackets to be installed in isolation of stud location or increase system depth. The VF2 top-hats can also be used in the own right to replace timber batten style sub grids.
