Cornerstone
Summary
A ready mixed natural cement mortar with various strengths, setting times, and degrees of water resistance or waterproofing for the right balance of durability, workability, and washout resistance.

Application

Suitable for external use, where the binder strength is appropriate for the host background or surface.

Relevant for marine building and pointing work applications, including freshwater and saltwater environments above and below the water level, including tidal environments which require a speedy set to reduce washout. Appropriate for various project types, including conservation and renovation.

While Marine P mortars are entirely natural in colour and absent of any pigments, the environmental conditions and curing process will affect the final colour achieved. As such, we are unable to match this product against other materials. For colour-senstitive projects, our team can provide guidance on curing methodology.

A 25kg bag will produce approximately 14.5 litres of mortar and fill roughly 1.5m² of joint at a depth of 10mm. The width and depth of the joint will influence this estimation. On-site trials are advised for the best yield indication for your specific project.

Supplied in 25kg polythene-lined and colour and batch-coded paper bags for easy identification on-site. Palletised for ease of transport, storage, and handling. FIBC tonne bags are also available.

Description

Cornerstone Marine P mortars include P10, P15, P30, P50 and P60 and are a dry ready mixed natural cement mortar for the building and pointing work of water-bearing masonry above and below the water level in marine environments. Available in the colour tan.

Engineered with precision, using Prompt Natural Cement and natural sands to create high-performance mortars which provide an accelerated set for masonry in various marine environments.

P10 and P15 are our lower-strength P marine mortars, and are well-suited for applications requiring a higher degree of flexibility and resistance from tidal washout and scouring.

P30 is a water-resistant mortar for marine areas that require a high strength without being waterproof.

P50 is a fully waterproof mortar for aggressive marine areas that require a waterproof and fast-setting mortar.

P60 is a fully waterproof mortar for heavily polluted marine areas that require a waterproof, fast-setting, chemical, acid and alkali-resistant mortar.

Features and benefits:

  • No lime equals no need for carbonation
  • A speedy set reduces the risk of washout
  • Naturally sulphate-resistant chemistry
  • Contains no Portland Cement
  • Contains no synthetic polymers
