Summary
Aluminium window system with high insulation thermal barrier.
Aluminium window system with high insulation thermal barrier.
Aluminium window system with high insulation thermal barrier.
Description

Aluminium tilt and turn window designed to meet building regulation requirements, with low U-values and high thermal performance. PURe is an evolved generation of aluminium windows manufactured in the UK. They combine the long life and low maintenance of aluminium externally with a patented high insulation PUR foam thermal barrier. Capable of accepting glazing 50 mm (maximum) thickness, depending on weight.

Features and benefits:

  • Designed to meet current and future building regulations, very good U-values, and thermal performance.
  • Low-maintenance, durable.
  • Polyamide thermal barriers are manufactured in accordance with PA66 GF25.
  • Gaskets are manufactured in accordance with BS 3734.

Construction:

Constructed using mitred corners, joined with crimped or mechanical cleats; alignment chevrons assist in clean, accurate mitres. Integral transoms and mullions are scribed around the outer frames and fixed with either screw ports or shear blocks. A proprietary sealant is used on all metal joints in line with good practice. Opening window frames are designed to be inserted directly into the outer frames using butt hinged or tilt and turn mechanisms.

U-Value:

Varies depending on type and size of window, average U-Values available are:

- Residential CEN standard (1230 x 1480 mm):

  • 28 mm double glazed unit: 1.23 W/m²K.
  • 44 mm triple glazed unit: 0.75 W/m²K.

- Commercial CEN standard (1230 x 1480 mm):

  • 28 mm double glazed unit: 1.18 W/m²K.
  • 44 mm triple glazed unit: 0.71 W/m²K.
