Description

Canadian Western Red Cedar is a naturally durable softwood timber cladding option, offering warm tones and a fine, uniform grain for elegant exterior applications. Slow-grown and lightweight, this species provides excellent stability and high resistance to decay, making it easy to work with and ideal for long-lasting performance.

Western Red Cedar can be left untreated to weather to a silver-grey finish or finished with stains and paints to maintain colour. It can also be fire-treated to meet EuroClass B through pressure impregnation. No additional preservative treatments are required thanks to its inherent durability. PEFC-certified for sustainability.

Features and benefits:

  • Premium Appearance: Warm natural tones with a fine, uniform grain for a refined look.
  • Natural Durability: Classified as Durability Class 2, Canadian Western Red Cedar has high resistance to decay without the need for extra treatments.
  • Versatile Finish: Accepts stains, paints, and FR treatments; can be left to weather naturally.
  • Lightweight & Stable: Easy to handle and work with for flexible design options.
  • Sustainable Choice: PEFC-certified timber from responsibly managed forests.
