The SMART Vetro Guard Structural Glass Balustrade system is a high-performance structural/frameless glass guarding system designed for applications requiring a clean, modern and fully transparent appearance. The system is engineered using toughened or toughened and laminated safety glass supported by either top-mounted or side-mounted aluminium channels, bolt-through stainless steel adaptors, or a specialist insulated roof bracket system.
Suitable for internal or external use, the balustrade is designed in accordance with BS 6180 and achieves line loadings of 0.74kN, 1.5kN and 3.0kN depending on configuration. The system provides uninterrupted sightlines, excellent rigidity and long-term durability with minimal maintenance.
Variants include base-shoe channels in various profiles, point-fixed structural glass, with tubular stainless steel or timber handrails. Multiple glass thicknesses, finishes and fixing types are available, allowing the balustrade to be tailored to a wide range of commercial and residential applications.
