Description

Growth-Inhibiting mats

Less herbicide, less mowing, more environmental protection and sustainability

Our REGUPOL vegetation control 767 growth-inhibiting mats are the ecological way to prevent unwanted vegetation.

The deprivation of UV light prevents the plants under the mats from growing. At the same time, the mats are permeable to water, which preserves microbial life in the soil and prevents erosion.

Vegetation Control 767 is used, among other things, on high-speed railway lines as well as track and signalling installations, on airport signage installations and under fencing systems - their high weight per unit area and their flexibility allow the mats to lie securely and positively on the substrate, while their material composition make them rot-proof. Their use eliminates the need for unpopular herbicides, as well as frequent and time-consuming mowing.

Vegetation Control 767 fire is considered a "hard roofing" product in accordance with abP P-MPA-E-21-505, while at the same time consisting of up to 95 percent recycled and reclaimed polymeric raw materials. This is why REGUPOL was awarded the Environmental Economy Prize.NRW in 2020 and the Efficiency Prize NRW in 2021.

It is a successful example of an efficiently functioning circular economy.

The products are developed and intended for the application described here. Use of the product for other purposes may lead to safety issues.

PRODUCT VARIATIONS

Vegetation Control 767:

Environmentally friendly and reliable prevention of unwanted plant growth

The REGUPOL vegetation control 767, the growth-inhibiting mat from REGUPOL, prevents unwanted vegetation and eliminate the need for environmentally damaging herbicides. Time-consuming mowing is reduced to a minimum.

Vegetation Control 767 is a well-proven product for inhibiting the growth of unwanted vegetation. By depriving them of UV light, any plants underneath the mats are prevented from growing. However, the mats are also water permeable and so they protect microbial life in the soil and prevent erosion.

Their use eliminates the need for unpopular measures, such as using herbicides, sustainably prevents the growth of unwanted vegetation and renders frequent mowing unnecessary.

The proportion of recycled material in our Vegetation Control 767 is over 95%, making it one of our “top recycling products”.

Vegetation Control 767 is used wherever plant growth needs to be prevented. It has been used successfully for over 20 years, e.g. on tracks and signalling systems or as a walkway surfaces. In these locations, it’s not only the mats’ effective prevention of unwanted vegetation that’s been convincing, but also their high level of slip-resistance. Security areas, such as perimeter fences and other barrier fencing systems can be effectively kept free from unwanted vegetation by our vegetation control mats.

Vegetation Control 767 Fire:

Preventing unwanted vegetation effectively and sustainably

REGUPOL Vegetation Control 767 Fire, the growth-inhibiting mat with fire protection, prevents unwanted vegetation and eliminate the need for environmentally damaging herbicides.

Vegetation Control 767 Fire is a tried and tested product for preventing the growth of unwanted vegetation. The elimination of UV light inhibits the growth of plants underneath the mats. At the same time, the mats remain permeable to water, so that microbial soil life is preserved and erosion is prevented. This method eliminates the need to use herbicides, prevents unwanted vegetation and makes regular and costly mowing unnecessary.

With a recycling rate of over 95%, REGUPOL Vegetation Control 767 Fire is one of our "Top Recycling Products".

Solar plants on flat green roofs are reliably and sustainably kept protected from unwanted vegetation by Vegetation Control 767 Fire.

Using the mats makes maintenance and care underneath the photovoltaic systems much easier, especially as these areas are often difficult to access. Solar panel output losses due to shading by long grass can therefore be ruled out.

The material of Vegetation Control 767 Fire has a flame-retardant finish and meets the fire class Broof(T1) in accordance with DIN EN 13501-5, as well as the requirements for resistance to flying sparks and radiant heat in accordance with DIN CEN/TS 1187. It is classified as "hard roofing" in accordance with to abP P-MPA-E-21-505.

Features and benefits:

  • For inaccessible/sensitive areas.
  • Delivery in sheets and cut to size.
  • Saves frequent and time consuming mowing, makes herbicides unnecessary.
  • Highly compacted, highly resilient, resistant to microbes, pressure and temperature, permanently elastic, resistant to ageing, vapour-permeable, water-permeable and rot-proof.
  • Largely resistant to acids and alkalis.
  • Soil micro-organisms are preserved.
  • Simple and efficient laying or installation.
  • 'Fire' Version - General Building Authority Test Certificate P-MPA-E-21-505.
  • 'Fire' Version - Broof(T1) according to DIN EN 13501-5, test according to DIN CEN/ TS 1187, classified as "hard roofing".
