Description

COOLMANT is BRUGG Pipes’ rigid plastic casing pipe system with medium pipes made of PE-100. It is specially developed for use in local and district cooling networks (main and distribution pipes), industrial applications and, under certain operating conditions, for combined heat pump systems (for cooling and heating). The medium pipes are also suitable for use as drinking water pipes, enabling versatile applications in supply and infrastructure.

  • Factory-insulated, rigid composite pipe system with excellent insulation properties.
  • Medium pipe made of high-density polyethylene (PE-100) with high chemical resistance.
  • Insulation consists of fine-pored, CFC-free polyurethane rigid foam (PUR).
  • Outer jacket complies with EN 253 for plastic-jacketed pipes, providing mechanical protection and moisture resistance.
  • Suitable for installation at outdoor temperatures down to 0°C.
  • Pipe connections via standard electrofusion fittings, polyfusion welding technology, or suitable screw connections.
  • Tested and compliant with DIN EN 17415-1 for district cooling pipes.
  • Good resistance to chemicals and suitable for use with ethylene glycol or other additives.
  • Compact pipe structure prevents longitudinal flow of water if damaged and absorbs thermally-induced length changes.
  • Available in SDR 11/ 16 bar and SDR 17/ 10 bar pressure ratings with various dimensions.
  • Lengths of 5/ 10 m standard, with other lengths available on request.
