OVERVIEW
The Nottingham Pavilion NIQ project showcases the creative and versatile application of terrazzo and granite in both cladding and worktop designs. Spanning 600m², this large-scale project utilised bespoke and standard tile sizes to create a striking visual identity that seamlessly merges functionality with artistic flair.
The project utilised a combination of bespoke terrazzo resin shapes (trapeziums and triangles) to create dynamic and eye-catching cladding. Rome Honed Terrazzo Essential and Sotillo Honed Terrazzo Essential brought a neutral yet textured aesthetic, while the W11 Emerald Green Terrazzo Resin and NW1 Pink Rose Terrazzo Resin added vibrant accents that elevated the overall design. For worktops, the smooth and durable Turin Terrazzo Honed and SE1 White Granite were selected to ensure both style and practicality in high-use areas.
This project at Nottingham Pavilion NIQ demonstrates the adaptability of terrazzo and granite materials in modern architectural designs. The combination of bespoke and standard sizes, along with the diverse colour palette, highlights how these materials can be used to create functional yet artistic surfaces that stand out in any environment.
