Swell 3D Acoustic Panels - Vitra UK

Vitra’s dynamic experiential workplace in Rolling Stock Yard addresses the growing demand for agile spaces. An open plan office with no permanent walls or dividing zones, the space was purposely designed to highlight the constant adaptability and flexibility requirements in today’s offices.

Vitra appointed The Collective Agency to design an acoustic solution to complement the product portfolio, allowing for flexibility while reducing the sound reverberations of this large open space which harboured numerous hard surfaces. 

The Collective Agency used Swell to run the entire length of the workshop and conference zone, with integrated flat panels for the presentation screen and white board. Also installed behind the workstation zone in a contrasting colour, Swell - indicative of soft and loose curtaining, provided a 2.7m high seamless wall solution with both acoustic and environmental properties.

In addition, striking precision-cut acoustic ceiling batons were installed above the collaboration zones to replicate the strong lines of the space.
