OVERVIEW
Stafford Yard forms part of the Bedminster Green regeneration — one of Bristol’s most ambitious urban improvement programmes, focused on sustainable transport, high-quality housing, and the transition to a lower-carbon city. To support the development’s active travel objectives, Dandara appointed The Bike Storage Company to design, supply, and install a comprehensive, multi-building cycle storage and end-of-trip package.
BSC delivered a fully integrated solution comprising Gas-Assisted Two-Tier Racks, Sheffield stands, folding bike lockers, vertical lockers, accessory lockers, and maintenance stations. This combination ensures the scheme accommodates a wide variety of bike types and storage preferences, including e-bikes, cargo bikes, and compact folding models. The racks were configured to maximise parking density across constrained indoor rooms while maintaining clear access routes and inclusive reach ranges.
All products were manufactured in the UK and selected for longevity, strength, and whole-life value — a core component of BSC’s premium, British-made product positioning. Installation was completed across multiple phases, coordinated with the contractor’s programme and site logistics to reduce disruption.
The result is a future-proof active travel network within the development: safe, accessible, high-capacity cycle parking supported by practical end-of-trip enhancements. Stafford Yard exemplifies how modern residential schemes can embed cycling into their infrastructure from day one, supporting resident mobility while contributing to citywide sustainability goals.
