Acoustic specialist Hodgson & Hodgson has completed an installation of its SALEX PhonoTrack stretched fabric acoustic wall system into a 500-seat IMAX cinema in London. Built for the British Film Institute (BFI) the IMAX cinema in the South Bank area of London is the largest cinema screen in Europe. PhonoTrack is created by framing new and existing walls with extruded PVC-U sections and bonding acoustically absorbent MelaTech foam or mineral wool in between. Acoustically transparent fabric is then stretched across the infill and securely anchored into sections.
