Neuro Physio Connect uses ceiling hoists to redefine recovery

OVERVIEW

Neuro Physio Connect provides specialised neurological physiotherapy through various care options tailored to clients’ needs. Their services address conditions such as stroke, traumatic brain injury, multiple sclerosis, Parkinson’s disease, and spinal cord injuries. Serving Hitchin, Stevenage, Letchworth, Luton, Bedford, Shefford, and surrounding areas in the UK, they ensure high-quality, compassionate care.

Their state-of-the-art neurological rehabilitation gym offers a safe and adaptive environment for individuals with neurological conditions. Equipped with advanced tools, it enhances strength, coordination, mobility, and balance, allowing clients to confidently work toward their goals under the guidance of skilled therapists.

“The ceiling hoists allow me and my therapy team to move around the client, allowing us to analysis and problem solve, and set better exercise programs for them” Ben Ruby, the owner of Neuro Physio Connect and a specialist in neurological physiotherapy.

Our GH3+ ceiling hoist with trainer module and positioning lock was fitted into their specialist neurological rehabilitation gym to provide the clinic with the capability to expand and enhance their clients rehabilitation journeys. When used in conjunction with versatile gym equipment the training session can be adapted to each individual’s needs and goals.

The MultiBall Wall is an interactive tool to improve coordination, focus, and reaction time, making rehabilitation engaging and effective, here the client has the positioning lock function locking both the traverse rail and the ceiling hoist to ensure that they do not move, this allows both the client and the therapist to feel safe and concentrate on the training at hand.

Cable machines and free weights are essential for strength training, offering adjustable resistance to support progressive muscle strengthening, with the trainer module function on and offsetting the clients weight they are able to perform deadlifts and push themselves further than they may be able to without the support of the hoist. The trainer module also allows the therapist to gauge how much assistance they require in order to carry out the exercises. When using the reaction training lights, the stability provided by the ceiling hoist helps patients practice reaching in different directions and at various heights, which is crucial for regaining functional independence.

Ben Ruby says “The Trainer Module has transformed our clients’ rehabilitation journeys. It empowers them to exceed their limits by offering a sense of security and confidence while using the ceiling hoist.”

Neuro Physio Connect is a great advocate for highlighting how taking a comprehensive and multidisciplinary approach to neurological rehabilitation, that not only focuses on physical recovery but also addresses emotional and social well-being, is an indispensable part of the healing journey for individuals with neurological conditions.
