Kensington Palace

OVERVIEW

Architectural steelwork, forged to match existing 18th century gates. Detailing and design to be in sympathy with the original Crowther gates. Decorative components were to reflect the history and heritage of all parts of the UK, and utilised lions, unicorns, daffodils, thistles, roses as well as myriad of leaves and flowers. The result is a seamless transition between modern and ancient, with no way to identify what was produced by Procter’s and our partner Paul Dennis in the 20th century and what was produced by equally skilled craftsmen over 250 years earlier.
