Cardiff City FC, Leckwith Road

Cardiff City Football Club has expanded into the new east Stand extension at Cardiff City Stadium. The expansion added a further 5000 seats to the stadium’s capacity followed by the addition of another 2,500 to 3,000 seats at each of the ends, raising capacity to a total of 38,000 seats, it also includes new corporate hospitality facilities. The stand is said to include plans for a concourse area on either side with a plush corporate area and catering facilities incorporated in the centre.

Cellecta’s HEXATHERM XFLOOR 500 has been specified by Arup due to its high compressive strength insulation boards that were used under a concrete slab to comply with part L Building regulations.

Lang O'Rourke was awarded this 350m² contract to construct this expansion.
