Scott Tallon Walker were appointed joint architects with HOK SVE (Populous) to create a worthy successor to the oldest international rugby ground in the world. The multi-award winning design accommodates 50,000 spectators and all the advanced facilities expected of a modern stadium. The distinctive transparent shingled skin wraps around the stadium, creating a highly atmospheric seating bowl, amplifying the infamous ''Lansdowne Roar'. The stadium's curvilinear form is already an internationally recognisable silhouette on Dublin's skyline.
