Project: The Hamptons, Gillingham
Date: April 2020 to February 2021
Background:
· The building was identified as having combustible cladding and was required to be re-clad with an A1 non-combustible system
· APL acted as the principal designer of the replacement cladding system, material supplier and fabricator, including all sub-grid, Slimwall™ Weatherboard & aluminium panels and fixings/accessories
Systems:
· 2,500m² of APL Slimwall™ CPS/SSF external rainscreen panels, including curved areas, with a 3-layer PvF2 coating in a bespoke colour to match the previous cladding
· 500m² of APL Slimwall™ Weatherboard to replace combustible timber cladding
· Curved cappings with Class 2 PPC coating
· APL AluE Tritherm™ aluminium sub-framing, extrusions and fixings
