Brindley Place, Birmingham | Internal Bike Store

OVERVIEW

Brindley Place, nestled in the vibrant heart of Birmingham, has earned its reputation as a dynamic mixed-use development that seamlessly blends business, leisure, and culture.

Brindley Place has transformed its bicycle storage facilities alongside its thriving office spaces, trendy restaurants, and artistic venues, making them efficient, secure, and aesthetically pleasing.

The Challenge:

With an increasing number of people choosing bicycles as their preferred mode of transport, The Foundry at 6 Brindley Place recognised the need to upgrade its bicycle storage facilities. The ethos behind the space is to support and inspire young, impact-led companies on their journey to profit. And, with wellbeing, collaboration and fun at the heart of this entrepreneurial hub, it is more than just a place to park a laptop. It’s a destination for business and personal development. The primary challenge was to provide adequate cycle storage solutions for commuters while preserving the urban appeal of the area.

Innovative Solutions:

Intex Projects led the internal redevelopment of the building and partnered with us to address this challenge. We installed three of our innovative products: Semi Vertical Bike RacksEquilibrium Stands, and Folding Bike Lockers, all powder-coated to RAL 9005 for durability and aesthetics.

46 Semi Vertical Racks to provide space-saving cycle parking whilst maintaining ease of use for cyclists.

16 Equilibrium Stands, allowing space for 32 cycles.

Folding Bike Lockers With three lockers each, allowing for 15 folded cycles to be individually locked away.

Additionally, we installed a Public Bike Maintenance Stand to encourage bike riders to keep their bicycles in top condition. This ensures cycles are always safe to ride and reduces the need for external repair services.

Our team also delivered a bespoke floor-to-ceiling wall decal to provide an identifiable space for cyclists that matches the property’s modern aesthetic.

Enhanced Security:

Entry to the bike storage area was fortified with a High-Security Anti-climb Mesh. The access-controlled gate provided an additional layer of security. Cyclists can now park their bikes with peace of mind, knowing that their bicycles are protected.

Furthermore, the upgraded facilities contributed to Brindley Place’s reputation as an environmentally friendly and cyclist-friendly destination for commuters who value sustainable transportation.

Brindley Place in Birmingham is a shining example of how urban developments can cater to active commuters' needs while maintaining the surroundings' aesthetic. By embracing innovative bike storage solutions such as Semi Vertical Bike RacksEquilibrium Stands, and Folding Bike Lockers, Brindley Place has positioned itself as a progressive, secure, and inviting hub for cyclists in the city's heart.
