OVERVIEW
SOLID MAPLE THE PERFECT BACKDROP AT
ERCOL FLAGSHIP SHOWROOM
British furniture company Ercol has selected Junckers solid maple flooring for its flagship showroom in Princes Risborough, Buckinghamshire. Adding a natural element to the space, Junckers hardwood flooring is a durable option with a polished appearance - the perfect backdrop the many iconic designs Ercol is known for.
Installed throughout the 1,300 m2 display showroom, Junckers’ solid maple flooring has an elegant, light colouring in an even tone and a subtle grain pattern. Maple is one of the hardest wood species available, capable of withstanding the wear and tear of heavy footfall, a critical characteristic for retail interiors where the demand on the floor can be substantial.
Ercol’s new floor is easy to care for. Regular cleaning and maintenance will keep it looking great and performing perfectly for decades. The factory-finish seal of ultra matt lacquer makes the floor resistant to scuffs and markings and should it need to be refurbished a sand and re-seal will bring it back to as-new condition. The perfectly smooth surface of a Junckers floor cannot harbour dust or mites and helps promote a healthy indoor climate. Junckers floors carry the Danish Indoor Climate label, recognised by BREEAM, a mark of trust to ensure there are no chemical substances in the flooring which will adversely affect the air quality in the room.
By choosing Junckers , Ercol can rely on the floor for its quality, longevity, independently verified sustainability credentials, and responsible sourcing of raw material. Solid maple is a timeless choice with both the visual impact and dependability required for retail interiors.
