Bi-Store Corral Cycle Compound

OVERVIEW

An increasing number of pupils at Christ the King Primary School in Blackpool were cycling to school, but the lack of a dedicated cycle parking area meant that bikes were being left along the fence outside

the school.

It was decided that a shelter should be installed so that cycle parking could be more easily controlled and security improved.

Sarah Smith, the Headteacher, contacted Glasdon to discuss the options available. A site survey was undertaken by Glasdon and a location was identified that would be suitable for two Bi-Store shelters.

Using Glasdon’s groundworks service meant that the required concrete base could be prepared at a convenient time for the school prior to installation of the shelters.
