OVERVIEW
Rockpanel has been specified for the new £11.5m health centre, which houses a range of primary care services, as well as a maternity hub and rehabilitation therapy services. With more than 20 new clinical rooms providing modern, fully accessible and digitally enabled resources, it will help to transform how health and care services are delivered to the King’s Lynn and wider community.
The building has been constructed using Modern Methods of Construction, where elements are manufactured offsite before being installed, creating less material waste, reduced environmental impacts and a speedier construction process. Interior walls incorporate an intelligent membrane to create an airtight building shell. Upgraded insulation and triple-glazed windows increase thermal performance, while air source heat pumps and LED lighting will reduce energy consumption. Its A+ energy performance rating and Net Zero Carbon operation will also result in increased energy efficiency, leading to utility cost savings.
