Application

Suitable for long run roofing applications, but can also be used for walling. Ideal for use in commercial and industrial applications for roof pitches as low as 1° (1 in 50).

Description

Metlok 700® is a concealed fix roofing system manufactured in a continuous roll form method from COLORBOND®, ZINCALUME® and galvanised steels. Some of its features are:

  • Can also be used as walling.
  • Low pitch.
  • Available in long runs.
  • Designed for thermal expansion and contraction.
  • Easy clip installation.

Use in conjunction with Design Notes. Dependent on fastener frequency, span type and support thickness.

Frame or support

Timber supports (softwood or hardwood).

Guidance for specification option:

Roofing and walling fasteners: No. 12 Hex Head Type 17 x 25 mm. Add 10 mm for softwood.

Less than 1.5 mm thick steel supports.

Guidance for specification option:

Roofing and walling fasteners: No. 12 Hex Head Zip Screws x 25 mm.

Greater than 1.5 mm thick steel supports.

Guidance for specification option:

Roofing and walling fasteners: No. 12 Hex Head Zip Screws x 25 mm.

Manufacturer guidance

Stated fasteners do not make allowance for insulation blanket. In all cases, screw head diameter must not exceed 11.5 mm. Self drilling and tapping screws must comply with AS 3566.
