SIGnature VCL (Self-Adhesive) is a high performance vapour control layer for use in the SIGnature BUR
systems as a cold applied option. It is composed of a polyester reinforced aluminium core, coated with a
rubber modified, self-adhesive bitumen coating.

Novia 1000 Gauge Polythene Vapour Control Layer is a blown polythene material, suitable for use as a vapour control layer within the walls of frame constructions, or where the control of the passage of water vapour is required.
Novia 1000 Gauge VCL is fully CPR compliant and is CE Approved to EN 13984:2013.
This product also performs the additional task of an air-leakage barrier, to prevent losses due to unwanted convection flows. We also advise the use of Novia double sided butyl tape and metallised BOPP tapes to ensure a complete vapour seal is maintained throughout the entire life of the product.

Vapour Control Layers (VCLs) are used to manage the transition of naturally occurring moisture vapour, which is produced by general building use. VCL membranes are formulated with a wide variety of construction designs in mind, delivering the most suitable product for specific solutions for various applications and requirements. A wrongly specified VCL that does not fully consider the intended building use may produce unwanted results. Choosing the correct vapour control membrane for your application is key to any insulated building construction, be it timber frame, steel frame or any other style. The passage of moisture through a building envelope needs to be managed in order to limit unwanted and damaging precipitation or condensation within the interstitial layer.

High Performance Vapour Control Layers - Polyvap

POLYVAP is a range of high performance, aluminium cored vapour
control layers (VCLs) coated with a high quality polymer modified
bitumen coating. The underside of POLYVAP TT & POLYVAP TS are
protected by Polyflam a special polyethylene film which melts upon
torching. In the POLYVAP TT version the top surface is also protected by
a layer of Polyflam providing a bitumen rich surface. The top surface of
POLYVAP TS has a coating of fine sand thereby enabling the use of
bitumen or Polyglass polyurethane adhesive to bond insulation to the
upper face of the VCL. POLYVAP SA is a self-adhesive membrane
manufactured using ADESO ® technology and can be incorporated in
to a completely flame free ADESO ® self-adhesive roofing system.

Novia VC4000 FR Reflective is a flame resistant and reflective airtight vapour control membrane. Designed for use as a high performance vapour control layer and air leakage barrier. Suitable for use in any insulated wall or roof application where high moisture vapour resistance is required. Novia VC4000 FR Reflective is suitable for applications requiring EN 13501-1 fire approval*
Novia VC4000 FR Reflective will also deliver a very low moisture vapour permeability solution due to the use of the high performance materials. To provide an air tight seal Novia VC4000 FR Reflective must be installed in conjunction with suitable Novia tapes.
*Valid for substrates with fire class A2-s1,d0 or A1 such as 12mm plasterboard, with no cavity between product and substrate. Product tested to EN 13501-1

The SIGnature Torch On Cap Sheet is a fire retardant formulation, polyester reinforced, SBS, torch applied finishing layer. This cap sheet is utilised on both the 20 and 25 year systems and will achieve an EXT.F.AA fire rating as standard. It is available in two mineral finishes, black or green.
