The Heritage Lead Covered Steel Patent Glazing bar encapsulates the very essence of the Patent Glazing tradition. The glazing bar design originates from Victorian enterprise and ingenuity. The glazing bar consists of a galvanised rolled mild steel core which is inserted into a seamless lead extrusion covering that incorporates a twin wing weathering system and glass seatings. The ends of the lead covers are then soldered to give a hermetic seal. Cast brass fixing plates and glass stop are screwed on to produce the finished glazing bar. This system is offered today for the replacement, refurbishment and upgrading of grade 1 & 2 listed buildings, buildings of historic value or other prestigious projects.

The platform stairlift is similar to a normal stair lift, but with a platform for wheelchairs rather than a seat. Use on almost any inclined stairway. The wheelchair user rolls onto the platform, safety bars lower and safety ramps raise, and a constant pressure joystick controls movement along the staircase. A stanchion mounted control panel calls and sends the stairlift and optional wander lead and remote controls provide attendants with control of movement. The collection includes nine elements: Chill, an iconic chaise lounge; Mingle, a table with attached seats and its companion Shade, a colourful winged shade structure; the Sit four-legged bench and Stay cantilevered bench; Pitch, a litter receptacle with a lyrical shape; and three new high performance products: Signal, an innovative LED pedestrian and streetscape light; Guide, an illuminated bollard; and Loop, a bike rack with a twist.

Holscher Design has developed for Metalco a new type of street furniture “tailored to... adult”: a welcoming oasis for all those adults who are called to take care of the youngest. This project, born from a profitable dialogue with Inglesina, the company that for over 50 years is close to children all over the world, introduces innovative elements that normally would not find space in public places. Circular pavilions, inspired by natural spaces, become real modular equipped areas, equipped with changing tables, benches for breastfeeding, parking for strollers, seats and tables: the ideal place to help adults to be close to children, in maximum comfort and in full sociality.
