Shared Space is a proven concept for handling the interaction between
the motor vehicle and other road users. The introduction of twin roundels
to replace the traffic signal controlled junction in Poynton town has created a low-speed,
continuous-flow traffic movement, typically at less than 20 mph.
Natural stone paving was used throughout the scheme and bedded in all
areas using UltraScape Pro-Bed HS. Slurry primer Pro-Prime was used in
addition to provide an exceptional bond, and finally Flowpoint was applied
to grout all joints.

The entrance area to Lime Street Station has been rejuvenated
using Ultrascape materials. The improvements were made using
Pro-Bed HS bedding mortar, Pro-Prime slurry primer, Flowpoint
ECO flowable grout and Cempoint gun injected mortar. The four
products are proven to be BS 7533 compliant under UKAS testing
methods.

Technical Data - tuffbed high performance Type 35 bedding mortar

A high performance bedding mortar, pre-blended for ease of use on smaller scale commercial, public realm and domestic projects. tuffbed is suitable for use in pavements constructed in concrete, natural stone or clay pavers. tuffbed meets or exceeds the requirements of BS7533-101;2021, Table 9 for Type 25 and Type 35 bedding mortars and in particular when tested in accordance with Annex C . tuffbed has a capillary rise less than the permissible maximum of 20mm.

LDC Landscape Contractors specified Ultrascape Pro-Bed HS fine bedding concrete, Pro-Prime slurry primer and Flowpoint rapid setting grout in charcoal, to re-pave the entrance court to The Savoy, for Chorus- main contractors for the external landscaping.

The Darley Street scheme was the first in a programme of proposed 'streetscape' improvements aimed at revitalising the
historic retail heart of Bradford and transforming this part of the city centre from a cluttered, poor quality environment into a piece of high quality, well designed 21st Century public realm.
Natural stone paving materials, trees and stainless steel street furniture formed the main elements of the scheme, which was constructed by Birse Civils.
Bedding and jointing products for streetscape applications were a major concern for the City of Bradford Metropolitan District Council (CBMDC) at design stage. Ultrascape Pro-Bed HS, Ultrascape Pro-Prime and Ultrascape Flowpoint all met its demanding specification.

The £1.2 million scheme, completed summer 2011, involved changes to local streets and footways, including a clear barrier free streetscape through reduction of guard railing, straight and direct crossings, cycle parking away from the congested pavements and repaving of large sections of the pavements with mixed granite paving.
Wandsworth Council specified Ultrascape's Mortar Paving Sytem to lay 2,000 metres squared of new granite slabs and setts around Clapham Junction. The system comprises of Ultrascape's Pro-Bed HS Fine Bedding Concrete, Pro-Prime Slurry Primer and Flowpoint Rapid Setting Grout; all materials conform to the British Standard BS7533.

We have successfully demonstrated how strong the Rapid Ramp is through a recent loading test using our widest metal platform (1,500mm) for public use.
Over 24 hours,1001 bricks were evenly laid over the surface. The platform and handrail successfully experienced no splitting or rippling throughout the test.
When installed correctly, the Rapid Ramp continues to have a safe loading capacity of 1,000kgs.

Celcon Vertical Wall Panels are storey-high panels of aircrete, designed to allow an exceptionally fast build method. Manufactured to the design storey height of a house with a width of 600mm and a thickness of 100mm, Vertical Wall Panels are designed to be craned into place onto a bed of mortar on standard foundations. Blocks are joined using Thin-Joint Mortar with 2mm (3mm) joints, providing an extremely airtight finish and panels can be cut on site to accommodate design details.
Norton Farm I-House Case Study

The i-House System incorporating Celcon Vertical Wall Panels was specified for use on 164 units on the Norton Farm site in Bromsgrove. The i-House System provides the speed of offsite construction with the familiarity of a traditional build.
Construction of 164 units with a mixture of one, two and three bed homes in terraced, semi-detached and detached form, of which 98 are to be affordable homes for Bromsgrove District Housing Trust.
The main attraction of the i-House System both on site and for others within the supply chain is that it is very similar to traditional build in its materials and approach so there is no dramatic change to working practices for the follow-on trades. The plumber, electrician and carpenter are all used to working in aircrete buildings.

The fantastic new Granary Square - the heart of King’s Cross - is
London’s newest square and one of the largest of its kind in Europe.
Over 1000 fountains create a spectacular water feature, all bedded
using Ultrascape’s EP-R9 epoxy resin mortar. Granary Square, designed by Townshends Landscape Architects,
also features reclaimed granite setts and porphyry paving that were
both laid using the specified Ultrascape mortar paving system. This
combination was chosen to preserve as much of the area’s heritage
as possible - old rail tracks and turntables have also been left intact.
