Of all the places you can install a roof, schools – particularly ones attended by the youngest children – are among the most demanding of the lot.But with professionalism and perseverance, Derbyshire’s NRA Roofing managed to achieve outstanding results fitting SSQ Del Carmen slate on Millbridge Primary School in Liversedge.Following a competitive tendering process, NRA were chosen to strip the building’s existing slates and provide robust, weatherproof replacements that managed to retain its traditional aesthetics. Del Carmen provided the perfect solution.The work was carried out in three phases. Scaffolding was erected on the lower sections of the roof so installers could reach the highest part of the building. This was then stripped and adapted in stages so they could get to the lower areas.

When it came to Ty Oriel (‘Gallery House’ in Welsh), the brief was ambitious.
Architects Nic Downs and Carolyn Merrifield wanted something sleek but striking. Eco-friendly, but instantly classic. A family home that was angular and modern, but that could simultaneously blend with its more conservative suburban surroundings.
And they were that demanding for a very good reason. The house wasn’t just for anyone. It was theirs.
Clean and minimalistic, the resulting build is stylishly open-plan, incorporating an office and an art studio as well as four bedrooms, all south-facing to maximise natural light.

Accoya was chosen to help transform a late Victorian property based in London. Originally built as a warehouse, the property required major renovation to become a family home.
The building was in such bad condition the windows & doors were rotten & required replacement. Accoya was selected for the windows & doors due to its durability & stability. Plus, the replacement joinery had to comply with the conservation area requirements.
10 new Accoya sash & casements windows & 5 new Accoya doors were installed. Since the installation the overall look of the street has dramatically improved.

A series of stainless steel WC pans by GEC Anderson were specified for public lavatories in London’s Battersea Park.A special corner adaptation was produced to provide a solution to services that were located to the side of the WC. By creating a special boxing, the pipework has been fully concealed, thereby preventing vandalism and providing a totally hygienic solution.The stainless steel contrasts nicely with the vivid yellow colours adopted.Battersea Park comes under the London Borough of Wandsworth and the new facility is considered an important advancement to the amenities of this busy recreation area, just south of the river Thames.

Suffering substantial earthquake damage earlier in 2014, the roof of a residential property in Christchurch, New Zealand has been given a new lease of life following the installation of 13,500 of SSQ’s Del Carmen, Ultra grade, slates.
Following investigations, the previous slate installation had proved too brittle – following the damage to the roof, the Earthquake Commission approved the removal and re-usage of the slate, however it was discovered that only 20% of the original slates were suitable to use again.

This project was in the heart of the Vale of Yorkshire, within and Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty and planning sensitivities dictated a green roof was needed on the office building.
The clients wanted the existing farm buildings, which had been converted into offices and storage space, to blend into the hillside with the structures having the very lowest impact on the surrounding countryside.The timber framed building meant a low weight solution was required so the 100mm deep pre-grown modules were ideal.

The bays are clad in Aztec Rainscreen faced with Peakmoor Sandstone in keeping with the area.Completed in September 2018 the stations Aztec cladding was fixed by Cubic Facades and has had excellent reviews including a commendation at the Lancaster & District Design Awards 2019.

The Copenhagen Place project has seen a stretch of canal-side East London transformed into a luxurious housing complex, consisting of 45 individual dwellings spread across a number of five storey apartment buildings – all of which were roofed with 60×30 Riverstone Ultra.

The NFRC is the largest and most influential roofing trade association in the UK, promoting both quality products and contractors, while ensuring that its members are at the forefront of all roofing developments.
Contour Roofing (Essex) was given the task of providing the roof coverings to St Joseph’s College, a Grade II listed building (1866) on the fringes of Mill Hill Village.

Following a year-long transformation, in September 2021, the ribbon was finally cut on the newly-pedestrianised Greenfield Crescent, in Edgbaston Village.Representatives from a host of nearby businesses came to watch CEO of Calthorpe Estates, Haydn Cooper, and Sir Euan Anstruther-Gough-Calthorpe to officially open the streetscape.Working with Birmingham City Council, Calthorpe Estates, and McPhillips has seen a new streetscape created to help set Edgbaston Village apart, with high quality public realm areas, easier pedestrian access and reduced traffic.With a vision to create a greener, safer and more accessible Edgbaston Village, the newly designed area has new high quality granite surfaces, planters and planting, festoon lights and upgraded signage, which will enhance access to local businesses, bring to life an improved and more convenient leisure location for those living, working and visiting the area to enjoy.Granite included the BBS Toranja Rosa (pink), Gris Sombrio (medium grey), and Blanco (silver grey) all indigenous to Portugal where the stone was also cut to specification. Haydn Cooper, Chief Executive of Calthorpe Estates said, “We open Greenfield Crescent at an exciting time for Edgbaston. The transformation of Greenfield Crescent was a result of successfully working in partnership with Birmingham City Council to deliver a high quality public realm area, which saw Calthorpe Estates invest significantly in the project. Historic Restoration - Bok Tower, Florida (USA)

Bok Tower is a transitional steel frame construction built between 1927 and 1929 and houses a 60-bell carillon (set oftuned bells). The tower is 205 feet tall, has eleven floors with the belltowerfrom levels 8 through 11. The Gothic revival architecture has three forms of masonry that adorn the exterior: coquina brick, intricate marble detailing and sculptures clad the steel columns and decorative tile panels. It was facing structural corrosion which C-Probe Systems effectively managed using an ICCP system.
