The Savoy Hotel

CCL Wetrooms

The Savoy Hotel required a watertight waterproofing solution for their luxurious bathroom suites. CCL Wetroom's installation team recommended the installation of RIW Tilesafe - a premium waterproofing membrane - onto the solid floors of the 110 luxury guest bathroom suites. The membrane was installed to all corner to corner junctions on the wall and across the entire bathroom floor. RIW FWM was then applied to full height on the walls in the shower and bath ares, linking to the RIW Tilesafe.

8Build's stunning London apartments required the installation of drainage and waterproofing solutions into 26 wetrooms on timber floors, as well as tanking solutions to 32 bathrooms and utility cupboards within the complex. The installation of CCL Wetrooms' Modular Wet-Floor System was recommended, to suit the minimal floor construction depth of the 'Danskin' timber floor system. Stone In-fill grills of varying lengths were issued to the tiling contractor ensuring a modern contemporary finish was achieved. RIW Tilesafe waterproof membrane and RIW FWM were applied to the floor and walls to prevent water penetration.

Aldgate Place, E1

Barratt Homes' stunning London apartments at Aldgate Place, E1 required the installation of wetrooms onto screeded floors.Linear Wall Drains and Stone-Infill Grills were specified into the apartments and penthouses within the high rise complex.To comply with planning regulations for apartment blocks, a same level waste connection was required within the 100mm floor build up of each of the wetrooms. This was achieved using the shallow linear wall drain which has a total height of only 67mm. RIW Tilesafe waterproof membrane and RIW FWM were applied to the floor and walls to prevent water penetration.

Malmaison, Boutique Hotel London

CCL Wetrooms

Malmaison, the luxury boutique hotel in London, required the installation of wet rooms into 97 guest ensuites. The bathrooms needed to be fully waterproofed and appropriate drainage systems installed that would be able to cope with flow rates of up to 29 L/min in the marble monsoon showers. Modular Wet-Floor systems were recommended for each bathroom, allowing a contemporary drain to be situated in almost any position within the shower area. Linear stainless steel grills were installed, capable of coping with the desired flow rates and the bathrooms were waterproofed using RIW Tilesafe and RIW FWM.

The Berkeley Groups' stunning London apartments required the installation of wetroom & waterproofing solutions into 188 wetrooms, suitable for a screeded floor construction. Linear Wall Drains with Stone-Infill Grills were specified into the apartments and penthouses. A high build latex system incorporating insulation boards and HBL-50 levelling compound was installed to the desired depth of 22mm from finished screed level, before the installation of Linear Screed Decs. Linear wall Drains & Stone Infill Grills of varying lengths were installed against the shower walls prior to waterproofing with RIW Tilesafe on the floors and RIW FWM on the walls.

The Glade, Ascot

CCL Wetrooms were contacted by exclusive house developer Montrose Developments, to supply wetroom systems and install comprehensive waterproofing solutions into the master bedroom and guest en-suites at their development of three executive houses in Ascot. The systems needed to be suitable for use on screeded floors. Linear Wall Drains were installed into the en suites, which were then laid to falls. The shallow drain was ideal for the shallow screed depth. RIW Tilesafe and FWM waterproof membranes were then applied across the floor and walls of the shower areas.

Octagon approached the team at Haddonstone to manufacture high quality stonework for a new development on Bishops Row in Fulham, London. Bishops Row is a terrace of nine elegant houses running parallel to the River Thames. The deceptively spacious 4/5 bedroom townhouses are centred around family living with high specification finishes. The design features innovative outdoor spaces including courtyard gardens, balconies and terraces overlooking the river.

Royal Star & Garter, Richmond Hill

London Square's development of luxury apartments in a stunning Grade II listed building in Richmond Hill required wetroom drainage and waterproofing solutions for 98 bespoke wetrooms, suitable for installation onto the timber floors. A Modular Wet-Floor system was specified into each apartment and the drainage was connected to the tail of a waste pipe installed by a third party. Each bathroom had an 18mm ply sub floor installed RIW Tilesafe and FWM were used to fully tank the wetrooms . Contemporary Stone-Infill Grills in a variety of lengths gave the wetrooms a stunning finishing touch.

Waterproofing and Drainage Solutions for Octagon Developments' luxury country mansion in Virginia Water

CCL Wetrooms Installation team were approached by Octagon Developments to supply and install wetroom systems and waterproofing solutions into the master bathroom, gym and three guest en-suites at their luxury house in Virginia Water. Linear Screed Drains were recommended for installation into each of the wet areas, capable of coping with flow rates of up to 29 L/min. Falls were created within the screed before the Linear Screed Drains and solid linear floor & wall grills were installed into the required position within each bathroom. RIW Tilesafe & FWM were used to fully waterproof the wetrooms.

1 Savile Row

TRC Restoration

TRC completed the full restoration of the traditional box sash windows on 1 Savile Row. We overhauled and draught excluded the windows with our unique perimeter sealing system, carried out remedial repairs and replaced the historic glass with handmade cylinder glass. This prestigious location, which boats some of the customers of Gieves & Hawkes, such as the Duke of Cambridge, Diana, Princess of Wales and Sean Connery. Customers past and present also include, Winston Churchill, The Duke of Wellington, Mikhail Gorbachev, Bill Clinton and George W Bush, have now had the windows restored to their former glory by TRC Contracts.

Ironmonger Row Baths, Islington

Helo UK Ltd completed the refurbishment of the health suite at the English Heritage listed Ironmonger Row Baths in Islington, London. A series of large, spacious thermal rooms within a traditional layout in the basement, the installation features two steam rooms. One, a Hammam style with a centrally heated slab and middle eastern fragrances, the other, a smaller room with fruit fragrances and colour change lighting. We also installed two saunas: A Herb sauna with automatic water and essence infusion, and a Vitality sauna with fresh, seasonal essences.

Reception desk and access turnstiles fabricated from a combination of 3mm and 10mm GC2011 Titan White Getacore sheet material and GC2002 Semi translucent 3mm sheet material, back lit for maximum effect. The 3mm Getacore sheet Veneer product was chosen and specified for its very clean white appearance and large 4100 x 1250 size to minimize fabrication, the batch-less production guaranteed the two 3 & 10mm could be used together, whilst the sheet size again aided in the large back lit panels. Tempering of the product also helped guide choice virtually zero expansion is crucial over such large areas.

Underfloor air conditioning and a bespoke Teak covered raised access floor by Nesite was specified for the height restricted redevelopment of this prestigious Mayfair accommodation. The works comprised a full internal strip out to the core, demolition of structural partition walls, removal of redundant mechanical and electrical services and plant, removal and re-cladding of the facade, installation of new M&E services, plant and lift.

The recent CAT A fitout in a new mixed-use development Stratosphere Tower in London offers approximately 2,800 sq. ft of contemporary commercial office space with plenty of daylight and a premium finish. Our lighting design team worked closely with the architect, making sure the scheme achieves the CIBSE and BCO guidelines whilst maintaining the contemporary look desired by the client. The architect liked the clean and contemporary look of the Rio Suspended and Rio Surface mounted. Thanks to its superb build quality, excellent performance and high visual comfort, Rio is a popular choice of lighting for working environments.

London Science Museum Bench Seating System

CPS Manufacturing worked with Dow Jones Architects to install a new bench seating system in the Hans Rausing Lecture Theatre. The bench seating was used on most rows to provide a 144 capacity theatre which can be used for lectures, family shows and events. The theatre includes a front row with several individual tip-up seats designed for wheelchair users.

Audience Systems' complete seating package for the arena included VIP seats, 47 fixed rows of seating, and 15 rows on mobile retractable platforms, enabling 7 different layouts. Designed throughout for adaptability, space at the new Emily Wilding Davison building, Royal Holloway University, benefits from the installation of numerous moveable wall systems. Partitioning experts Style, worked closely with contractor, Geoffrey Osbourne, and Associated Architects to assist and advise on the design, bringing practical, aesthetic and cost-saving benefits to the project. Demonstrating Style’s extensive portfolio, the final arrangement involved a 50 dB Rw DORMA glass wall in a seminar room, a DORMA Variflex system on which art can be displayed, two 56dB Rw acoustic DORMA moveable walls and a 46dB Rw folding wall dividing meeting/ training rooms.
