LiveLink desperately wanted a Space Invader theme in one of its offices to best illustrate the company’s own creativity to clients. Due to its versatility and colour bank, Enhanced Flooring selected Supacord for the job. The whole look was enhanced by black window frames, red window sills and a large glass door etched with a screenshot from the retro arcade game.

Contemporary Glass Structures were selected to manufacture and install a flush glazed mirror door into a 4th-floor terrace glass façade as part of extensive renovations of a commercial office building in the heart of Manchester’s professional district. Drawing on their experience in the fenestration industry Contemporary offered a bespoke solution and specified the Kestrel Aluminium residential door system as the base for the project.

BMJ transformed its London office into a more flexible and dynamic, ‘smart hub’ style workplace. A combination of Milliken's carbon neutral LVT and modular carpet floor coverings have been define the various collaboration areas, meeting spaces and workstations. This installation is a great example of the flexibility of modular floor coverings and in managing acoustics in a largely open workspace.

When Deloitte were looking to consolidate part of its central London campus into a new 280,000 sq foot office, they wanted to challenge the traditional 'green building' thinking. This impressive WELL Certified - Gold and BREEAM Outstanding building features Milliken's award-winning Colour Compositions, Clerkenwell - Time Piece and Dissident 2.0 modular carpet designs.

When this historic icon of a building in the heart of Paris has been transformed by renowned architect Dominique Perrault, Milliken's Tracing Landscapes and Crafted Series modular carpet was specified for the office workspaces. The biophilic references in Geography Lesson softens the industrial aesthetic, while the woven aesthetic of Modern Maker in vivid orange provides vibrant pops of colour to the meeting spaces.

Milliken's Tectonic modular carpet from the Nordic Stories design collection flows seamlessly throughout this award-winning building in Falkenburg, Germany. Inspired by geological landscapes, the design was the perfect floor covering for this pared back office environment set in a stunning rural setting. The product's Comfort Lite cushion backing delivers excellent acoustic performance and underfoot comfort.

For Harrogate Borough Council's new Civic Centre Offices Milliken worked with Farrel & Clarke to install its Laylines design with Transitions in a range of different colours. Colour coding each floor helped with way finding around the building. With a central open atrium, the sound absorbing properties of the Comfort Lite backing contributes to the building's acoustic performance and underfoot comfort.

The challenge was to complete a full specification for a former office building that was being redeveloped to bring together Northcroft Surgery and St. Mary’s Surgery, creating the Strawberry Hill Medical Centre. The specification needed to accommodate patient safety, comfort and movement around the facility, alongside the staff’s need for efficient and secure access to certain areas... One Vere Street is an extensively redeveloped office building behind a handsome period facade. The property has been finished to an exceptional standard and boasts a number of interesting features including a structural glass staircase. The project was carried with Corley + Woolley. Structural alterations and Cat ‘A’ fit out over 5 floors on the corner of Vere Street and Oxford Street.

The refurbishment of washrooms across six floors at a local authority office building in Telford used our Robust cubicles from the Pendock Washroom range finished with complimentary green and Zebrano laminates for the panels and doors.Both male and female washrooms were upgraded as part of the programme with standard and disabled access cubicles incorporated within the design with outward opening doors.

Sustainability was a key consideration for global management consulting firm Boston Consulting Group’s relocation to new premises at 80 Charlotte Street, London.Led by the vision of architects Piercy&Company, the design for the space would see timber framed partitioning used across 257 meeting rooms and offices to create an eye-catching finish with a low carbon footprint.

Magazine B is a series of Grade II listed brick sheds inRochester, Kent. Its unusual name stems from the fact it wasoriginally used as a Victorian military installation – ‘magazines’were buildings constructed to store gunpowder andammunition.Long left derelict, the site was acquired to convert into aseries of offices – and Southern and County Roofing wereengaged to fit replacement slate.

Lochrin Bain’s Combi™ Palisade was the product of choice for Capita’s Landscape Architects working on their recent Waterfront Business Park project. With concerns raised by local Crime Prevention Officers over security breaches using traditional front fix Palisade, the proposed Secured By Design Combi system, installed on neighboring properties for a number of years ticked all the right boxes.

This significant project was the restoration and extension of a 1976 Basil Spence building in the City of London. This original structure was designed for The Salters, an 800-year-old livery company. While offering the perfect aesthetic for the building's raw industrial heritage, the product also offered luxurious underfoot comfort due to its Comfort Plus cushion backing. The cushion backing also provides this environment with great acoustic performance.

The project includes two buildings : offices, a company restaurant, and a car park . To get visual and thermal confort in a all spaces , it had been installed more tan 938 Signum Bandalux aluminium venetian blinds . Completed in 2020, One Braham, designed by Wilkinson Eyre, delivers 18 storeys of Grade A office accommodation aimed at tech, telecoms and media clients.The 20,000m² fully-glazed unitised facade, installed by Focchi Spa, combines AGC Stopray Vision-50 and Stopray Smart energy efficient coatings together with vertical brise-soleil on the east, south and west facades.

Wales Air Ambulance have a new headquarters with a new purpose-built office bringing the charity and the airbase together. Local aluminium fabricators and installers Atcost Windows of Llanelli won the contract to supply and fit all the glazing products throughout the building. Kestrel’s curtain walling was specified to create an impressive frontage to the building and maximise natural light to the common areas and meeting rooms.

The designers for this project, SKS would be at the top of their game to deliver an interior that could meet a raft of challenges. Stepping up to this challenging remit from SKS, International flooring specialist Gerflor would be supplying two of their most iconic and stunning flooring products. Gerflor’s LVT Creation and smart-looking GTI would be the designer’s choice to grace this newly re-furbished office.

Located in Prescot, Merseyside, the new Shakespeare North Playhouse boasts a traditional, 470-seat timber theatre at its heart. The home of some of the great author and playwright’s earliest works. This prestigious building captures the soul of Elizabethan storytelling, drawing in modern audiences from across the country. Opened in 2022, the new theatre has played a ‘leading role’ in the ongoing regeneration of Knowsley. Carrying the weight of one of the all-time greatest wordsmiths, meant that every inch of the Shakespeare North Playhouse had to combine the upper echelons of modern design quality with the traditional soul of a 16th century theatre.Traditional feel, modern capabilityTasked with providing a powerful first impression to the entrance of this characterful building, our INTRAflow product in a brass anodised finish was a great choice for the Matting. In keeping with the bronze within the reception area, the brass anodised finish added an extra quality touch. The INTRAlux Elite fibre insert completed the warm, welcoming look achieved in the final outcome.The INTRAflow product is perfect for heavy footfall areas and so, just the ticket for audiences of nearly 500 people all coming and going at once.An important consideration was the traditional wooden seating areas within the theatre. It was essential that the Entrance Matting would remove dirt and moisture quickly and effectively to protect such a unique interior. The foyer area has no external overhang meaning very little protection from the elements. All combined, this meant a high-performance specification was required. The debris channel systems help ensure as much dirt as possible is removed on entry.Sustainability and designSustainable practices and materials were a must for the client. To truly bring this archaic theatre into the modern world, the project had to be completed with the planet at its heart. With such traditional materials being used for the interior, we made sure to use sustainable products, with 100% recycled aluminium.At INTRAsystems, we make all of our products as sustainably as possible. Our aluminium Entrance Matting systems are fully recycled and completely sustainable. After all, Shakespeare built the Globe, so we want to protect ours.Ease of InstallationThe installation process being as simple as possible was a driving factor in the client’s decision to choose INTRAsystems. The building’s design needed a striking entrance mat stretch across the entire width of the entrance, which was a sizeable space, covering 30 m2 in total. UNIZO office building CHALLENGE Dedalus Architects specified zinc for waterproofing the timber frame UNIZO office building in Eeklo. Not only for the roof, but also for the facade and bottom side of a unique construction detail. To be precise, waterproofing horizontally, vertically and even upside down! To entirely cover the structure however, appeared not to be possible when using zinc. If you opt to use this traditional waterproofing material a ventilated air space must be provided underneath the zinc covering. This of course entails an opening for ventilation purposes underneath the roof edge, if not, condensation will occur. In the case of a building where the facade has to connect seamlessly with the roof and the underside, leaving an opening is not a possibility. So, despite the attractive appearance of zinc, a waterproofing solution with this material was not an option. SOLUTION Thanks to their collaboration with roofer ALBITUM and previous experiences with RENOLIT roofing products, Dedalus Architects came up with a nice alternative: RENOLIT ALKORDESIGN standing seam imitation. A perfect solution for a difficult challenge. No ventilation needed, no connection problems, the same looks as a zinc roof and, above all, more cost effective!

The perimeter structure would be provided, but we were to work with the project structural engineer in terms of providing thrust forces etc. The ChallengeTo create a visually impressive source of natural light in the new office extension for this global, research-driven pharmaceutical company embracing many cultures and diverse societies.The SolutionThis beautiful 12m x 6m fully self-supporting fixed glazing. Modelled using the glazing company’s 3D design software. The supporting members are a combination of 80mm x 120mm and 80mm x 80mm steel sections. Working through our Midlands contracting office, Planet provided smoke sealed extended height PURE20XL glazing to floors 2 to 7 of the building’s internal atrium. 6.7m high Schueco Jansen Viss screens were placed on ground level, while PURE20XL was also utilised along with rebated 1.5 leaf IsoPro doors (Rw 36 dB).Extended 3.3m LOFT100 screens (Rw 47 dB) with back-painted glass above transom level were placed in the 300-capacity auditorium with double IsoPro doors. Finally, banded LOFT20 partitions and matching IsoTec acoustic doors (Rw 38 dB) and double glazed LOFT54 (Rw 45 dB) with IsoPro doors were installed for the client’s meeting rooms and phone booths respectively.The Unity Place development is a great example of a people-first workplace design that hopes to be a catalyst for the regular return to the office for many of Santander’s staff. The building is set to achieve a BREEAM Excellent rating for sustainable performance, aided by Planet’s EPD documentation for our LOFT and IsoPro solutions.

Stopgap 1200 Pro levelling compound and F46 pressure sensitive acrylic adhesive have led the way in refurbishing floors at Heythrop Park, near Chipping Norton in Oxfordshire, following its acquisition by Warner Leisure Hotels, as part of a four-year, £40 million renovation.Flooring contractors were commissioned to install a range of floorcoverings throughout the site’s public areas, including in the 300-year-old, Grade II-listed manor house, which is set in a 440-acre country estate, as well as the adjoining hotel complex.The project included work in the reception, two ground-floor theatres, bar, restaurant and lounge areas, as well as connecting staircases and corridors, in the modern part of the hotel.Stopgap 1200 Pro high-performance levelling compound was used to raise subfloor levels so that LVT floorcoverings and inlaid carpet would sit perfectly flush with previously installed ceramic tiles, with areas divided by custom-made CAT brass edging strips. Stopgap Micro Rapid fast-setting, fast-drying floor finishing compound was used to address minor subfloor imperfections.Stopgap 1200 Pro was also used to create a perfectly smooth surface for grey loose-lay Forbo Coral carpet tiles in the entranceway of the reception, where heavy-duty made-to-measure Newhay grid entrance well matting was installed.Behind the reception desk, Plusfloor concrete-effect luxury vinyl tiles were installed with Styccobond F46 pressure sensitive adhesive, which provides a high bond strength that increases as it is trafficked, as well as strong initial tack, meaning that tiles or planks won’t move around while working. The indefinite open time offered by the product negates the risk of late placement, another advantage when there’s complex designs and patterns.Contractors installed bespoke Brintons carpet in a small seating area on one side of the reception and in front of the entrances to the larger of the hotel’s two ground-floor theatres and Late Lounge Bar, as well as on the steps and accessibility ramp leading from the reception to the 120m2 area, using a dual bond system. This involved using Styccobond F3 to create a permanent bond between carpet and underlay, with the Styccobond F40 providing a peelable bond between the underlay and subfloor.In the theatre, where guests can enjoy live music, drama and comedy performances, Stopgap 1200 Pro was used to patch repair existing subfloors, including where stanchions had been removed, before installing custom-made dark black and blue Newhay carpet.Bespoke Newhay carpet was also installed in the Late Lounge Theatre, which was also furnished with an Amtico wood-effect LVT dancefloor adhered with Styccobond F46. Styccobond F46 was used to install Harlequin Standfast high-performance vinyl sheet on both of the theatres’ stages.Amtico Signature basketweave, wood-effect LVTs were installed in the Late Lounge Bar up to seating areas with bespoke Newhay carpet and ceramic tiles around the bar, as well as on the steps leading to the Late Lounge Theatre. A feature was created in the centre of the room with a large area of herringbone wood-effect LVTs and a border of Amtico Signature Cirrus Twilight grey planks.Similarly, in the first floor ‘Pub and Kitchen’, Karndean ‘Van Gogh’ salvaged wood-effect LVTs were installed up to the bar area, where a border was created using Karndean ‘riven slate’ grey ‘Knight Tiles’, and areas with tables and chairs, where Alternative Flooring ‘Anywhere Rope’ natural carpet was installed. The LVTs were installed up to ceramic tiles around the bar and seating areas with bespoke Newhay carpet.Plusfloor wood floorcoverings were installed on the main staircase leading from the reception to the first and second floors, extending onto the first floor landing and lounge area, using Styccobond B95.Where there were steps in the areas being renovated, including the main staircase, Stycco Flex rapid-curing, flexible tube adhesive was used to affix custom-made CAT brass stair nosings.

55 Whitehall was previously a Government occupied office space. This iconic building has undergone a complete re-design. There was existing steel encapsulated raised access flooring throughout. Rather than remove or replace the raised floor, it was retained. Hugo18 was specified here to use as an overlay solution to the raised access floor. It offers a non-combustible, high performance substrate for a range of finishes, in this case - ceramics

The screened rooftop garden which sits atop the new Westfield M7 commercial office development offers outstanding views out over London's skyline. PaveRail™ substructure system from RynoPaveSupport was used across the terrace. With a build-up of over 400mm to finished floor level and high-levels of foot-traffic, PaveRail will stay completely rigid and keep slabs in place.

33 Charterhouse Street – now known as The JJ Mack Building –  is one of London’s most stylish and sustainable new office buildings, completed in 2022.BCM GRC supplied the intricate, fluted panels that line the ground floor reception area, as well as the cool grey feature panels of the building's lift lobbies – all of which were expertly installed by our partner installer, Henley Stone.

With this premium office redevelopment in London’s prime EC2 area, it warranted an especially exciting and dynamic design. Dramatic lightweight feature beams were the perfect option to show off creativity and ingenuity for our client’s project. Vtec’s MaxiBeams enabled exceptional design features and ceilings to be achieved with ease due to the adaptability of the system, it was also designed and 3D modelled to ensure a perfect end result.

The new 2,500m2 research facility for the University of Nottingham provides laboratory, office and support accommodation for the UK Government Energy Acceleration Research Initiative alongside the university. Using Passiv Haus certified Aluprof MB-TT50 curtain walling and MB-104 Passive windows and door systems, the building achieved Passiv Haus accreditation. In 2016, the company built a 14,000 sq m contemporary, headquarter office building in London, which would allow their business to grow whilst remaining in a town that has been home to the company for many years. Subsea 7 required a high quality, innovative washroom that would complement the extensive and dynamic building. Working with ESA Architecture, Dolphin advised on the most fitting washroom solution.

Revive IT, based in Leeds, are an IT recycling and disposal company. The company underwent a full office refurbishment, with new carpets required as part of the development. Revive IT wanted carpet tiles that stood out, while also matching brand colours and providing durability. To match the company’s purple branding, Heckmondwike FB provided Array Purple, alongside Broadrib Purple accent tiles to create a distinct finish

Designed by Cesar Pelli & Associates Architects, the 31 storey 25 Bank Street was completed in 2003. Originally the European headquarters of Lehman Brothers until their insolvency, it was then acquired by JP Morgan in 2010.InterLace designed, manufactured and installed luxury sheer and blackout curtains to boardrooms and executive suites along with electric curtain tracks. Offices have new, and also refurbished existing blinds throughout.
