Lang+Fulton have supplied a bespoke 6.6 x 5.7m compound for euorbins and general storage. The compound was sub-divided into two separate areas, each with 1.4m wide double doors for access, secured with Locinox euro-cylinder locks and dropbolts.The panels were made from DeltaWing-100 to provide total visual screening and were supplied hot-dip galvanized with an additional polyester powder coating colour RAL 7040.

Coopers were commissioned to design and manufacture a bespoke curtain barrier system that, in the event of fire, would guard against smoke penetrating the upper floors of the store.
Through regional partner Souchie, Coopers installed a series of Smoke Stop™ vertical smoke curtains above each escalator specifically designed to protect the means of escape for customers, whilst at the same time dramatically reduce the transmission throughout the building of life threatening gases generated by fire.

Waitrose’s Distribution Centre at Bracknell delivers to more than 60 stores, handling up to 150,000 cases of chilled products. The new warehouse was conceived to a ‘green’ design; generating 20% of renewable energy on site with waste heat and office cooling recycled from the refrigeration process, efficient lighting and low carbon emissions. In keeping with the concept of sourcing natural materials, a Roma-3 mild steel grating fence in a galvanized finish was specified for the boundary demarcation.

A housing estate in North London was recently redeveloped to provide more houses and flats to cope with the ever growing demand in the capital.
Because the estate is near to a busy road and behind many shops, restaurants and light industrial properties, an acoustic barrier was required to mitigate the noise of deliveries, traffic and general day-to-day noise.
To achieve the desired reduction in noise, we supplied 135 metres of 6m high Jakoustic® Reflective fencing to run alongside the estate behind the adjacent commercial properties.

To create safe and hygienic entrances at the new £65m Balfour Hospital in Orkney, architects specified INTRAform DM with a combination of inserts.
The state-of-the-art rural general hospital serves the entire 21,000 strong population of the islands. With a traditional need for shelter against extreme weather conditions, a robust entrance matting system is essential to ward against slips.
To create an effective barrier, the multiple entrances at The Balfour Hospital use a combination of fibre and rubber inserts within a single aluminium recessed system.

Views through open-plan layouts emphasise space and light and allow connections from inside to the generous balconies.

The hard wearing system will maintain a high performance finish for an extended period of time despite the heavy foot traffic, scuffs, and general wear and tear that it will inevitably face.

In response, the team designed a new extension that connects seamlessly with the main body of the house and flows through to the garden, giving the family a unique kitchen and dining space.Both client and architect were familiar with Russwood flooring, having used it in their previous projects. In this instance, Somner Macdonald specified Pearl European Oak flooring in Prime grade, to complement the simple, calming and assured spaces created by their design.

The Category A listed building is said to have been constructed in 1269 and has been extensively added to over the years.
Maintaining such a historic monument is a massive task. The Atholl Estate employ an army of staff to ensure this iconic property is preserved for future generations. One of the many problems in looking after such a building is the fact that it was not designed with ease of access to the roof in mind.

The conversion of a traditional barn within the conservation area surrounding Wells Cathedral, Somerset has benefitted from the installation of THERMOSLATE roof solar collectors.
The new solar system will generate 57% of the occupants’ hot water requirements.
Paul Kellet, the architect, said: “My client was keen to use a natural material for the roof of the property, whilst also making a sustainable contribution to meeting the family’s energy needs.
The specification of THERMOSLATE and complementary CUPA R12 spanish slate allowed Paul to meet these requirements.

repair. The client needed the remedial work completed to fixed deadlines
in order to comply with insurance requirements, and wanted to optimise
the roof by replacing the pre-existing photovoltaic (PV) array with a solar
solution that would deliver superior energy generation. The office also had
to remain operational throughout the works, creating logistical challenges

Tarkett chosen for NHS teenage cancer unit - The unit at Southampton General NHS Hospital was funded by the Teenage Cancer Trust and designed to create a space as comfortable as possible. Featuring six en-suite bedrooms, a four bed day unit, social space and support facilities. The bright and engaging décor of the centre was created using a variety of Tarkett flooring. The Tarkett flooring used included iQ Optima in Yellow, Medium Blue and Green, iQ Eminent in Turquoise and Acczent Excellence 80 in Bamboo.

The Little Kelham project is a housing development created by CITU Homes consisting of 153 1 – 4 bedroom homes and a variety of creative spaces, cafes and shops. The project features the popular MEFA Letter mailbox wall mounted on to the external walls of the properties to securely store mail. The MEFA Letter mail box has been finished in a basalt grey colour to match the design guidelines set out for the project and used across the door frames, window frames and general hardware throughout the development.

Helo was commissioned to create a poolside sauna in keeping with this
traditional style pool hall in a country estate in the south west. Space was
limited and effort was made to reduce, as far as possible, the impact of
the cabin on the surrounding décor.
The client wished to enjoy a view of the existing pool area whilst bathing in the sauna. This was
achieved with an angled glass door and full height glazed panel.
Helo’s sophisticated Fusion heater, with steam generator, was used to allow a multi climate sauna
to suit varying tastes.
"The Paddock": Bespoke Cottage Built to Passivhaus Standards

A private client secured planning permission for a 1.5 storey bungalow on their family’s land, in the village where their ancestors had lived for generations. Mac Eye Projects designed and constructed the two-bedroom, two-bathroom timber-frame property according to ambitious sustainability and energy efficiency goals, using SOPREMA’s ISOLAIR to ensure the necessary thermal and acoustic performance levels. This woodfibre board from the PAVATEX range was delivered in June 2020 and the external rendering of the Paddock’s walls was completed in October 2020.

ASF were chosen to supply the 3 rail quayside post for the Marine Lake reserve in Southport, and area of waterside walks, gardens and leisure activities. The ASF quayside posts are manufactured from 100% recycled cast iron (made for used car brake discs), with rails from 275 carbon steel.The incredible longevity of cast iron (expected lifespan in normal use in is excess of 100 years even if left unpainted), means that these posts will be serviceable as quayside posts for generations to come.

The Royal Hampshire County Hospital in Winchester is a District General Hospital serving much of central Hampshire and is one of three hospitals serving a population of approximately 600,000 across Hampshire and parts of west Berkshire.
Just Floors were asked by the Hospital Trust directly to help out with a Health and Safety issue on around 70 steps that are located outside the main Hospital building.
The steps run from the car park level that is situated at the top of a hill down to the main hospital building that is on a lower level.

This Passive build with sips panel roof in the heart of Cambridge was a great job from start to finish, with Passive purple brush sealing all the connections of various substrates such as steelwork, blockwork and timber and then given a final send of with a spray application of Passive Purple, with intricate detail, multi-level rooms and grand design in general, achieving under 0.6ach was no problem.

In the course of the restructuring and refurbishment of a multi-storey library tower (MST) for the School of Law and the linkage of the tower to the adjacent Peter Froggatt Centre (PFC) to form a new student hub at Queen’s University in Belfast, the architects TODD decided to use Wienerberger’s Lincoln Red brick to tie the scheme into its surroundings. Generally, the brick was laid traditionally, but brick slips secured to a proprietary backing board were also used to form soffits and glazed into the curtain walling on the PFC façade.

The house is the first to be constructed in the UK with zero heating requirements using the mass timber Brettstapel technique. Passive technologies such as orientation for daylight and solar gain, super insulation and air-tightness levels have been utilised in order to achieve the internationally recognised Passivhaus standard.

Mapei UK products were specified on all areas and were on site from the beginning ensuring that full support was given to all aspects of the project development, assisting with full specifications covering M10, M20, M40, M50, J30, and K21, from the general application of screed to the finer detail of waterproofing drainage channels.

Limes Place is a modern collection of 19 family homes, situated in Upper Harbledown, on the outskirts of Canterbury. The new Persimmon Homes development features a range of three, four and five bedroom detached houses priced between £377,000-550,000.
While the surrounding area is encompassed by rural farmland and rustic woodland, it is also situated close to the busy A2 carriageway which regularly experiences heavy traffic heading to and from Dover and the M2 motorway, generating unwelcomed levels of noise pollution for existing and prospective residents.

Republic at East India Dock, London (2018)

East India Dock is a refurbished site in East London, comprising of 6,000m2 of office workspace and a new area of public realm. The previously underutilised space has been fabulously transformed, including the creation of a pedestrian only external landscaped area. Artform Urban were commissioned to provide litter bins for the public realm and surrounding areas. The client needed the litter bins to be multifunctional for the project, allowing litter to be segregated into both general waste and recycling. The Spencer R Litter Bin was the optimal solution for the site, from design to budget.
