Luxury decking solution for spa alfresco dining area

A luxury spa in Berkshire was looking to convert their terrace into an appealing dining area. The management needed a beautiful solution with minimum disruption, as the outdoor dining area was able to stay open to the public during construction. Duro Excellence EasyClick System was installed in colours denim and moor oak. The aluminium rail system was the perfect frame for the outdoor area’s low threshold. The boards simply clip down into place, ensuring swift, trouble-free installation. It was essential that the boards were not screwed through the surface, as customers were walking barefoot.

The panel facings have a simple priming sheet finish, allowing the restaurant to decorate them with their own flamboyantly Asian-themed graphics,

Polysafe Verona adds flavour to The Sutton Academy dining hall

A combination of Polyflor’s Polysafe Verona PUR vinyl safety flooring in two complementary and stylish shades has been used to help create an eye-catching dining hall for pupils at The Sutton Academy in St Helens. As part of a major refurbishment project at the school, over 400m2 of Polysafe Verona PUR flooring was installed throughout the dining and seating areas where pupils relax and have fun during break times. Verona flooring in Biscotti and Dolphin Grey shades was used to create a neutral backdrop.

Situated at Gateshead College’s Baltic campus, Enfields Kitchen is a contemporary restaurant where all the food is made and served by students enrolled in the college’s hospitality and catering courses.

Henderson’s sliding door hardware systems were specified by Penton Architects for the central dining space and garage of the architects’ own rural new build. Adam Penton commented: “The large sliding doors to the central dining space utilise P C Henderson’s Lift and Slide Base System which was specified for its performance and ability to be housed into a bespoke glazed timber screen and cill system.” The dining room doors open up the side of the house and are used daily during the summer months for ventilation and access to external terracing to create an indoor / outdoor experience.

Comprising 36 contemporary beachfront properties, the luxury development, completed features unobstructed views of the Atlantic. To withstand the South coast’s often extreme wind and rain, while matching the luxury aesthetic of the build a robust but aesthic solution was needed. Sika Sarnafil’s single ply membrane was specified as the solution and to also ensure a high-quality and cost-effective finish was provided.

The Diving Bell was a refurbishment of a wet bell also known as a diving bell. Although it was a small project, the perforated panels have a dominant presence at Sir Rogerson's Quay, Dublin. The old orange metal bell stood forgotten its refurbishment is now a small attraction celebrating its history, giving an insight into life in this part of town, its name proudly perforated in 47.1m2 stainless steel. Graepels are delighted to have worked on such an important piece of maritime heritage that was key to buildings Dublins quay walls over the 87 years.

Installed by Lamont flooring contractors, 1620 square feet of Expona Commercial LVT in the Grey Pine design has given the dining room at the care facility a brand new look.

Rusholme | Light-filled South West London extension and remodel - Putney, London

Architect: Simon Gill Architects. The brief for this project in Putney was to modernise the ground floor of this red-brick detached house, create a larger dining room and better connect the inside of the home with the garden. The end result is a complete transformation. Gone are the compressed spaces and smaller rooms and in their place is a large open-plan living area with seamless connection between the lounge, kitchen and dining room. These open plan spaces are filled with natural light thanks to a combination of Grand Slider II sliding doors and huge fixed frame picture windows.

Welsh Slate tops the menu at Clifton College

Two types of Welsh Slate roofing slates have helped breathe new life into the stunning Grade II listed dining hall of a top independent school. A total of 15,000 of Welsh Slate’s rectangular Cwt y Bugail and arrow-head Penrhyn Heather Blue slates now feature on the duo-pitch roof at Clifton College in Bristol. The three-storey dining hall/kitchen, which is one of, if not the biggest building in a cluster of stunning Victorian constructions, had not been re-roofed since it was built 156 years ago to a design by architect Charles Hansom.

Expona Bevel Line tiles in Portland Stone and Expona Commercial luxury vinyl tiles in Light Grey Concrete and Black Matrix were fitted around the booth and bar seating area.
