Procter Contracts

This project demonstrates our ability to deliver a complete projects which involves automatic gates and security fencing. We designed, manufactured and installed a double leaf cantilevered sliding gate of 12m wide x 2.4m high with laser-cut customer logo, plus matching perimeter fencing. They were thrilled with the laser-cut logo and that we managed to match the colour exactly to their brand. Also impressed with the level of security achieved.

Consultant: Couch Perry & Wilkes Main Contractor: Willmott Dixon Architects: Associated Architects M & E Contractors: NG Bailey Installers: Anders Heating REHAU Products: TABS, Ground-air heat exchanger, Underfloor heating Key to this performance, and to the comfort levels being experienced by staff and students, is a REHAU TABS solution which has embedded 7km of REHAU PE-Xa cooling pipes within both post tensioned ground and first floor slabs with exposed soffits. This works by circulating chilled water through the pipes to provide effective cooling in summer, countering the solar gain from the windows which are distributed evenly across the façade.

A bespoke up and over garage door designed and manufactured by Rundum Meir has brought 21st century functionality, access and security to a Grade II listed property in Belgravia. One objective of the renovation project sought to improve access to the garage, which faces a desirable residential street close to Eaton Square Gardens. The transformation had to be done in a way that was sympathetic to the local architecture and compliant with the house’s listed status. The garage doors of the properties lining this cobblestone street are fine examples of the 19th century coach house tradition.

AT Brown Telford

As a premier coach company based in Telford, AT Brown (Coaches) Ltd was suffering from constant diesel theft. Not only was there a cost implication to the diesel theft but damage to vehicles, fencing and the inconvenience of their drivers arriving early in the morning to start the school run and having to visit a garage to fill up with fuel. There was also a physiological cost to staff moral and the constant threat of losing their jobs.

The timber construction had several challenges of a swimming pool environment. The Laudescher LINEA 2.4.3 (aw-0.90, Absorption Class-A, NRC–0.90) manufactured for its properties to not swell, absorb or mutate while bringing in the usual high quality acoustic properties that absorbs the reflective sounds that will promote greater communication in the pool environment which is vital for teaching and ultimately the safety of the students, teachers, and coaches.

The National Opera Studio is the leading opera training organisation in the UK, and works in partnership with the UK’s six leading Opera companies: the Royal Opera House, Glyndebourne, English National Opera, Scottish Opera, Opera North and Welsh National Opera. In the Summer of 2017, the London-based studio underwent a full refurbishment with the aim of creating a more modern, professional space to welcome the variety of artists, staff, music coaches, donors and professionals that visit the studio on a daily basis.

DYNAMIK installed the purpose built sprung flooring at Belle Vue Sports Village which is home to Basketball England, the National Governing Body for Basketball in England. As their Official Sports Flooring Partner, DYNAMIK has contributed to grass roots sport in terms of gifting sports equipment as well as being headline sponsors of the National Schools Basketball Championships. Coaches and teams were delighted to have played on a sports floor where professional athletes train and winners are made. ASF were already supplying the ASF 5002 bollard to this site with an internal heavy duty steel core to make them ram raid resiatent, when we were asked about bollards that would fold into a trough below ground level. These were for the players entrance and would need to sustain a lot of traffic passover as well as fully loaded coaches. The ASF Boston Trough was used which is manufactured to meet the U.S. H20 load bearing capacity, suitable for 'large trucks', HGV's and artics. This has a 32,000lbs axle weight capacity

SuDS Permeable Paving, Park and Ride, Truckcell, Truro, UK

Cornwall Council identified a requirement for a Porous Paving system for a park and ride being built in the east of the city. The system would need to meet all planning limitations relating to run off and cope with coach overrun as well as being able to resist the forces exerted by manoeuvring HGVs. Truckcell is a highly effective source control system that manages storm water run off, as well as a cost effective SuDS compliant porous paving solution that facilitates rapid installation. Truckcell is manufactured using 100% recycled plastic and can withstand frequent HGV overrun

University Arms Hotel, Cambridge

University Arms Hotel, the oldest hotel in Cambridge, dates from the 1840s when it first opened as a coaching inn. Extensions followed in the 1930s an 1960s; but in 2013 John Simpson Architects began returning cohesion and grandeur to the building. The aim was 190 bedrooms boasting 5-star luxury. We were proud to be awarded the 14-month contract to design, supply and install 300 timber box sash windows, 50 balcony French doors, and 28 curved-on-plan sash windows. We also produced large bespoke entrance screens, and undertook the restoration of leaded light glass.
