Expona installed at Envie student coffee shop

Polyflor Ltd

Heavy commercial luxury vinyl tile flooring from Polyflor’s Expona Commercial PUR collection was used to create a modern coffee shop for the students living at the new Envie Student apartments in Ottawa. Approximately 110m² of Expona Commercial luxury vinyl tiles in the Beige Varnished Wood design were installed throughout the coffee shop by Giant Carpet Flooring contractors. The interior design scheme was put together by Creative Friction who chose the Beige Varnished Wood design, which has the look of pseudo-industrial timber which has been stripped and varnished many times over to give a worn effect.

Expona flooring range brings extra flavour to coffee shop

Polyflor Ltd

Polyflor’s Expona Design and Expona Control flooring ranges were used to create a sophisticated statement floor design at Harris + Hoole coffee shop in Slough recently. A combination of tiles in contrasting colours were chosen by design consultancy Path Design of London to create this striking effect. Flooring contractors Redlay Flooring installed 185m² of Expona Design flooring in the drinking and dining areas of the high street artisan coffee shop fitted out by Uplands Retail. The design incorporated a mixture of contemporary colours and textures using tiles in Light Elm wood effect and textile effect Creme Matrix and Mocca Matrix.

Harris + Hoole

Amtico International

The Portico DC178 was the perfect choice for established coffee store Harris + Hoole who needed a welcoming, stylish and impactful flooring to match its unique coffee experience. When Harris + Hoole set out to launch in Tesco’s Kensington store on a tight timescale, interior design agency Path Design turned to Amtico and the beautifully crafted Designers’ Choice collection. Amtico Signature flooring is now central to the Kensington store, having helped it attain its own identity - offering a welcoming and stylish destination that is anchored by great coffee and fresh food.

Coordinated street furniture for award winning apartments

Furnitubes International Ltd

Furnitubes' RailRoad design was the perfect choice for the roof-top of award-winning apartments Green Dragon House, with its modular design allowing seating and planters to be linked to create large structures that can be left freestanding, without the need to bolt down. The RailRoad products were complemented by the use of the Hollo range coffee tables, and a bespoke dining table with Hollo stools completed the suite of products supplied.

Pro-Railing used in new 120 Seater Restaurant

F H Brundle

Knights Garden Centre opened a 120 seater restaurant at their Chesham branch. F.H. Brundle was chosen as the main supplier for the fencing and security gates to protect the site, and also provided all the pre-assembled Pro-Railing posts and fittings to create a stunning coffee shop terrace with views over the surrounding fields. In this project, the use of 10mm glass clamps as signage holders demonstrates the unique versatility of the Pro-Railing range of products.

It is very important for places like hospitals to keep their hygiene levels really high and therefore, our 5-stage filtration Fibredyne™ technology played a crucial role when HCA were choosing a water system.The aim of this project was to find a complementary product to their coffee machine that is small in size, saves energy and gives their patients a whole new experience. Billi was pleased to be able to deliver on all HCA’s requirements.

Across three floors, including their new product development labs and the new academy space, they chose Quadra 440 with XL dispenser in chrome with matching drainage font. This system dispenses an immediate draw off capacity of 40 cups; 150 cups of boiling and 175 cups of chilled filtered water every hour. The Billi under-counter systems are a great addition to their office space, giving their staff an opportunity to enjoy coffee alternatives.

Karndean Designflooring

Longleat Safari Park was looking to create a new restaurant to reflect its spectacular 9000-acre surroundings and withstand the demands of a popular tourist destination. Space Group was selected to design and fit the new restaurant and coffee bar, opting for Karndean Da Vinci Molten, Opus Carbo and a unique combination of Van Gogh Honey Oak, Van Gogh Distressed Oak and Van Gogh French Oak to create a mix and match pattern reminiscent of the natural colouring of Longleat’s residents.

The new centre, sympathetically designed by the prestigious Glenn Howells Architects, uses Reynaers’ CW 60 modular curtain walling, Vision 50 door system, ES 50 Eco System door, CS 68-HV Hidden Vent window and CS 77 doors. It was built by contractors Stepnell and the consultant was Wintech Ltd. With a large restaurant and shop, separate coffee shop and beautiful cloistered courtyard with garden, it’s hoped that the new centre will attract hundreds of thousands of new visitors to the Arboretum.

Bulthaup Mayfair

This bulthaup kitchen in a North London period home, combines fitted furniture in b1 with a freestanding b2 cabinet. The simplicity of the white lacquered b1 cabinets, with a white composite stone worktop, sits well within this period space. The oak natural b2 cabinet neatly houses an integrated coffee machine with a dishwasher below on one side and useful storage on the other. Barrisol Light® - Victoria & Albert museum - United Kingdom


Simple design and soft light… The Victoria & Albert museum of London, famous for Art and Design, has recently renewed its art gallery and its coffee shop. The challenge of Gareth Hoskins' architects was to bring natural light into this space without damaging the exposed works, drawing 400 years of history. Thus, the architect imagined and created lighting paths and wells of light using Barrisol Lumière® ceiling. Today, the place benefits from a soft and pleasant light. A Barrisol® matt stretched ceiling offers a simple and minimalistic design on the remaining surface.

Cafe 23, Alderley Park

Bruntwood’s Alderley Park development holds an international reputation as home to a world class bio and life sciences facility. Dedicated to the art of discovery, the office building offers over 1 million square feet of commercial office, science space, meeting and conference facilities - all with exceptional amenities. One of the offered amenities is an open space Cafe 23 coffee break area. The high ceiling spacious atrium was illuminated using revolutionary Hacel luminaires. The custom colour light fittings were hung at different heights at various degree angles making the cluster of fittings into a decorative centrepiece.

Caffe Nero, Oxo Tower, London

Caffe Nero is well known for reflecting the ethos of the local community in its stores. When refurbishing a former coffee shop in London's Oxo Tower, they were adamant in wanting a shop which really fitted its surroundings. The result truly reflects its South Bank location. Many of the materials are reclaimed, including the Henley Dock Oak flooring. Although reclaimed, this range has been crafted into engineered planks which combine the random widths and true individuality of reclaimed wood with the practicality of easy to fit engineered planks -consistency from each batch and reserves held in stock for matching.

The new purpose-built premises showcase twice as many vehicles and offers significantly increased workshop capacity to provide customers with an enhanced retail experience. The spacious dealership, with an open plan high ceiling is equipped with class leading Hacel lighting offering accurate light distribution, ideal for illuminating cars in the showroom. With a luxurious lounge and coffee bar area as well as a business area, handover bays and Mercedes-AMG Performance Centre, the showroom is kitted out with the latest technology for servicing, maintenance, testing and repairs.

Situated at the heart of Hammersmith Town Centre in West London, the recently refurbished late 70’s building Glen House offers approximately 32,000 sq ft of high spec CAT A office space with a few perks like bike parking, showers and roof terrace. The clean lines of RIO Suspended enhance the exposed coffered slabs, adding bold visual feature and texture to the space. The bespoke ceiling lights are side-lit using a double satin diffuser, emitting soft comfortable light. 299 also supplied lighting for corridors and bathrooms.

Whites Concrete supplied its precast Rockwall and Groundwall panels so that Coffey Construction could quickly and efficiently form a new Coanda screen, fish pass walls and a Crump Weir to Swindale Beck, which is an upstream sub-catchment of Cumbria’s River Eden.

NR Meridian Water Station, Enfield

SAS International Ltd

Leading Engineering and Construction company VolkerFitzpatrick awarded SAS’s Special Projects division the contract to design, manufacture and install the feature ceiling at Network Rail’s new Meridian Water Station in Enfield. Working closely with concept architect Karakusevic Carson Architects, project delivery architect Acanthus, SAS undertook the contract for the anodised Regency Gold triangular coffered soffit. The bespoke geometric system is a unique feature of the station and lends itself to SAS Special Project’s ability to take on complex and challenging design intent and work seamlessly as part of VolkerFitzpatrick’s delivery team on this signature project.

Marmorino Venezia Beton applied to the wall areas, a light textured concrete finish, made to look like authentic concrete slabs also Marmorino Venezia Beton stencil bringing the Artisan logo to life. Also a stunning feature wall, Stucco Mirage. Marmorino Naturale has been applied in various colours to the male, female and disabled toilets.
