With 5 million visitors to the park each year, café operators, Benugo, have quite a challenge maintaining service and facilities. The customer was able to give the basic dimensions to our team and describe how they wanted the roof laid out. We then calculated the exact quantity of units needed with our inhouse software and gave delivery and installation guidance to the contractor and end client. London Brick Multi and White wall panels were specified in the design for a new café at Battersea. Chosen for their natural textures and features, the panels help create real atmosphere. Produced from original walls, Vtec panels contain in excess of 50% natural pigments, oxides and minerals. They're lightweight enough to be used almost on any type of structure, as well as being strong and highly durable - perfect for high traffic areas. Panels were installed either side of Arches, mounted on false walls. Large panel size achieved wall coverage quickly and easily with concealed joints for a seamless finish.

The designer wanted a ceiling feature in the café of this garden centre for acoustic purposes. The ceiling also needed to complement the soft and colourful design with additional greenery. Soft Panel in luxurious natural colour suede (colour M002) was specified at 25mm thickness. Soft Panel is a great sound absorber, specifically designed to reduce and control reverberated noise in building interiors. The bespoke panels were manufactured to precise dimensions for the best fit. Vtec supplied the hanging wire system and full instructions, ensuring the installers had everything they needed for quick, easy installation and integration with additional décor.

Café Rouge came to us with a plan to refurbish their stores, in this refurbishment they wanted a wooden floor able to deal with a busy restaurant retail environment, that would be very hard wearing and be easily maintained. We came back with the perfect solution, supplying our Istoria Premium Wideboard oak, this 220mm wide board is brushed to give it a raised grain and more texture. It is coated in a tough matt lacquer making it easy to clean and maintain.

The £9.5 million state-of-the-art Belong Warrington care village, designed by Pozzoni Architecture Ltd, is a community facility, including village centre amenities, households for residents who require 24 hour dementia and nursing care, and independent living apartments.

GEC Anderson’s stainless steel worktops, sinktops, doors and splashbacks have been chosen for the modern Café Bar at The Hepworth Wakefield art gallery in West Yorkshire, for their contemporary and accurate appearance as well as their hygienic qualities associated with food service. The stunning building is formed of ten different sized trapezoidal blocks constructed using pigmented, self-compacting concrete and recently listed in The Times ‘Top 50 Galleries in the World’. The continuous stainless steel worktop installed behind the main serving counter of the Café Bar incorporates sinks, plinth, cupboards doors and splashbacks, all in brushed satin stainless steel.

The New Hollies transport cafe has been serving drivers and travellers on Watling Street (A5) since 1933. The cafe has grown significantly and hundreds of HGVs visit each week creating a demand for robust, sustainable parking. Due to the high water table, permission was granted but with the restrictions to keep the water level at the pre development level. It became clear that permeable paving would meet the requirements. ABG Truckcell was used as surfacing with Terrex as a filtration textile. Truckcell is a heavy duty plastic paver able to withstand the forces exerted by multiple wheeled vehicles.
