At this major refurbishment of Sainsbury’s head offices in London, three ranges of burmatex® carpet tiles have been used in a tailored scheme across multiple floors

In summer 2019, Bradford Hospital had opened their newly built Wolfson Centre for Applied Health Research. As a part of the new building burmatex® osaka carpet tiles were fitted to complete the interior design of the Centre. osaka inkpot is the main carrier, ideal for having on-site cut triangles of osaka sakura and osaka matcha with random colour effect creating zones on the floor. In this office environment, burmatex® heavy commercial class 33 carpet tiles have been chosen to create a unique and eye-catching effect in keeping a high level of performance.

burmatex® structure bonded carpet tiles include the three ranges of lateral®, zip and code – each available in 18 corresponding colour ways. This university accommodation building has used all three coordinated ranges, shifting to a different colour focus on each floor. Feature walls and furnishings also follow the changing colours, to create bright, engaging finishes. lateral®, zip and code are suitable for heavy commercial use (class 33) and rated BREEAM A/A+.

Bostik has supplied a host of subfloor preparation and flooring adhesive products for use on the refurbishment of the Arts & Design Building at the University of Suffolk. The products, combined with Bostik’s expert advice, enabled a faultless installation of the new floor coverings in the building.Ipswich-based Top Floors was appointed by main contractor RG Carter to strip out the two-storey centre’s rubber stud tiles, which were installed when it was built in the early 1990s, and replace them with 700m² Altro Walkway vinyl and 500m2 of Burmatex Tivoli carpet tiles as well as new nosings for the staircases.To ensure that the subfloors were prepared correctly, and that the new floor coverings were bonded as effectively and efficiently as possible, Top Floors approached Bostik for its specialist guidance and market-leading products.
