Crown Trade, product of Crown Paints Ltd

The Exterior Colour Book has been created by the Crown Paints Colour Service to provide guidance and inspiration for exterior decoration projects. It includes details on Sandtex Trade, Crown Paints’ external substrate decoration and protection brand, as well as superior wood protection brand Sadolin. When selecting a colour for exterior projects, personal preference is sometimes secondary to concerns such as impact on the local context and the relevant planning regulations. That’s why Crown’s Exterior Colour Book provides information about the built environment, covering topics such as historical styles, geology and local materials, regional colours and colour application.

Mandrake Hotel


stoneCIRCLE was asked by Beck Interiors to fabricate the stone for the Mandrake Hotel. Marble was used extensively throughout the penthouse, bathrooms, washrooms and bar areas of the boutique hotel with book matching a particular feature of many of the interiors, notably in the penthouse suite where polished Greylac was used to make a striking bedstead with book matched headboard continuing down through the bed platform to the floor and up the far wall. Mystery White was used throughout the spacious bathroom. The Mandrake Suite used book matching to particular effect with a Black Wave marble floor and vanity unit.

WWF, Woking

Planet Partitioning

The Living Planet Centre is WWF’s brand-new purpose-built head office in Woking. Hopkins Architects and Willmott Dixon asked Planet to provide specification for internal glass partitions in this two-storey 3,666 sqm building. For the meeting rooms, Planet Partitioning installed an electronic room booking system within p100 partitioning, so staff can book meeting rooms. For all the meeting rooms, remote controlled integrated venetian blinds allow additional privacy as required. p100 also ensures all meeting rooms meet high acoustic performance requirements. Planet Partitioning also installed FireStop fire-rated glass partitioning to meet fire regulations throughout the building.



Having the right entrance matting to keep these shopper’s safe from slips and trips was a paramount requirement INTRAsystems proposed only the best and the most durable Entrance Matting option for Boots Piccadilly – INTRAform Matting. We also proposed the implementation of the Zonal System. As a result, INTRAform formed zone 2 matting and INTRAlux Elite Polyamide Fibre Insert formed Zone 3 matting. This Entrance Matting created the most effective barrier against the ingress of dirt and moisture into the store

As part of this refurbishment, we installed our toughened glass Luminoso shower cubicles, specified in a striking blue to complement Boom Cycle’s brand identity and high energy interior design. The full height shower cubicles were manufactured using 10mm clear float toughened glass for the doors, pilasters and division panels and are set on a stainless steel tubular headrail with matching stainless steel pedestal feet. Each cubicle was finished with double swing hinges, which are self-closing from 25 degrees, stainless steel clothes hooks and a stainless steel pull handle towel rail to the outside.

The Clerici Building redevelopment involved taking the former main entrance building and transforming it into a hub for teaching and learning. Interface’s Human Nature range has been used across the Sir Kenneth Wheare Hall to help create a flexible, beautifully designed space which can be used for a number of activities. These products are ideally suited to the main auditorium, which is both a high traffic walkway and a light and airy space which links the hall and the building’s Gateway or main entrance. Interface’s Composure range helps to reinforce the structural link between these two spaces.

A prestigious four-star hotel in Surrey gets a stylish enclosed pergola structure to suit the ambience and scenery of the location. This historic hotel’s large paved terrace area with outdoor BBQ was only equipped with some tables and chairs, and so only used on dry days in the summer months. The hotel's event team wanted to create a new flexible outdoor space that could guarantee availability for bookings throughout the year, whatever the weather....

Bulthaup Mayfair

This open plan, living space extension in an ‘Arts and Crafts’ house in Wimbledon, includes bulthaup b3 cabinets in laminate for the working area of the kitchen as well those extending into the lounge area with wall panels incorporated for the TV. The raised bar top for casual dining was bespoke manufactured in the bulthaup factory with book-matched olive wood and provides a beautiful, natural centre -piece to the space. Connection and Interface

Hacel Lighting Ltd

Connection in a joint partnership with Interface have opened a showroom in the heart of Manchester. Innovative commercial furniture designer and manufacturer, Connection, joined forces with carpet tile producer, Interface, to reveal their showroom in the historic Law Library. The stunning building was built between 1884 and 1885 and acted as a meeting space and reading room for the Manchester Law Society. The new display area is based on the ground floor, with the upper floors still contains books, keeping the library alive.

Planet Partitioning

Laing O’Rourke approached Planet Partitioning for help refurbishing the Abercrombie building and fitting out a brand new, purpose-built structure adjoining it. Planet used p100 double glazed partitioning and p20 relocatable single glazed partitioning in a wide range of formats throughout both buildings. For areas where sound attenuation was important, p100 double glazed partitioning at cellular soaces – and for rooms and offices requiring additional privacy, integrated venetian blinds. For communal areas, p20 XL reached to heights of over three metres still using the 27mm framework line. Planet also installed a range of fire-rated frameless screens throughout the buildings.

Harrods Fine Watch Room


stoneCIRCLE's work for the Harrods Fine Watch Room was highly commended at the Natural Stone Awards 2018. Rundell Associates were tasked with refurbishing the Fine Watch Sales area in Harrods, Knightsbridge and choose to work with stoneCIRCLE for the stone fabrication involved. The project was to manufacture and install curved quarter book matched marble panels to the walls and solid marble treads to create a new staircase positioned in an elliptical opening in the floor which links the two areas of the Fine Watch Room. stoneCIRCLE also fabricated walnut travertine back panels to the display cases on the wall.

The Polar System is a virtually frameless system with impressive acoustic capabilities, it allows for a combination of contemporary aesthetics and elegance, without compromising on function. Komfort’s Polar system was specified and installed throughout One Angel Square, including all the meeting rooms. With the integration of such high-performance interior elements, this former derelict site has now been developed into an exemplar sustainable building. Beyond sustainability and wellbeing standards, the use of Komfort’s bespoke Polar System enabled technology to be seamlessly integrated into the design, with the use of a booking system wired through the doorframe.

Planet Partitioning

As one of Santander’s approved suppliers, Planet Partitioning was approached directly by the client to specify internal glass partitions and glass doors for the refurbishment of VIP meeting rooms at its UK headquarters. By installing p100 double-glazed partitioning and single and double Sonotec doors in all the VIP meeting rooms, Planet Partitioning achieved the look and the high sound attenuation levels required. Planet also installed electronic room booking systems and three-quarter-high switchable glass division panels for added privacy. FireTec doors on the ground floor help meet the building’s strict fire strategy requirements.

In 2009, FH Brundle, the UK’s leading wholesale distributor of welded wire mesh supplied mesh for the construction of 2 interactive book installations, commissioned and produced by the South Bank Centre as part of the Imagine Children’s Literature Festival held at the world renowned Royal Festival Hall in London. Welded wire mesh is a versatile material used in domestic, industrial, agricultural and architectural applications, both internally and externally. Also used as security mesh, machinery guards and window grilles. Anti-collapse mesh is used for gabion baskets and architectural mesh is used in applications such as walkways, balustrades and cladding etc.


Signbox Ltd

Signbox, with the Graphic History Company, delivered a stunning mural in the shape of the River Thames and incorporating 3,500 iconic authors’ names for book publisher Hachette UK. The award-winning Thames mural, which was digitally printed using HP Latex 360 printers on Class O fire retardant LG 3880 high tack vinyl – 450 linear metres of it in total, was installed at Carmelite House, the publishing group’s headquarters on the north bank of the River Thames. The vinyl was matt laminated, CAD-cut and weeded for application before being applied to the acid-etched glass wall.

Powermatic controlled, concealed door closers have been used by the Rocco Forte group to retain the high-end aesthetics of rooms and suites at Brown’s Hotel, one of London’s most elegant boutique residences. A total of 75 rooms have been fitted with the door closers, amongst them a new suite named in honour of Rudyard Kipling, who is believed to have written The Jungle Book whilst staying there. David Rozmetov, the hotel’s chief engineer, states, “We did not want to use surface-mounted door closers because they would spoil the appearance of our exquisite interiors.”

Working with Marks Barfield Architects and main contractor Bluu, the project required a premium finish and high sound attenuation levels. Planet 100DG partitioning with single and double Sonotec doors were installed in all the VIP meeting rooms and tech panels were fitted to accommodate electronic room booking systems. Added privacy was ensured with three-quarter-high switchable glass division panels. FireTec doors on the ground floor help meet the building’s strict fire strategy requirements.

The building is in the Guinness Book of World Records due to its 18 degrees plus incline. With its impressive design Capital Gate is home to Abu Dhabi’s premium business hotel – Hyatt Capital Gate Abu Dhabi, EKU Porta Glass promotes the aesthetic appeal of the hotel rooms and suites. Due to its completely concealed sliding system, EKU Porta Glass itself meets the highest demands in terms of design and technology and allows for a highly valuable and creative room division.

Non-bar traditional box sash windows with cords and weights with semi-circular head flush casements. The property lies within the historic Wandsworth Town Conservation Area. Elegant wooden sash and casement windows from the Kensington & Chelsea range by Lomax + Wood have been manufactured and installed as part of this expansive upgrade

ASF worked with artist Bernadette Hughes to develop these spectacular products. Highly decorative laser profiled panels were used to make seats, litter bins and signage. The detailed profiles themselves were manufactured in stainless steel plate and then powder coated, to retain the intricate laser cut details that would be lost is the sheets were galvanised after cutting. The outer shapes were then profiled from heavy duty mild steel sheet that was galvanised, and the two sheets mounted cheek by cheek with invisible fixings. The result isa highly visible design that is decorative, strong and has zero finger traps.

Rialto Towers, Melbourne

Boon Edam has enhanced the aesthetics, efficiency and functionality of the entrance to Melbourne’s Rialto Towers by installing five of the largest revolving doors in the Southern Hemisphere, each standing 5 metres tall. The new doors are a striking focal point of the $100m regeneration project for the Rialto building, managed by Built, to modernise the building and extend it by wrapping new buildings around its base. The doors are part of Boon Edam’s Tourniket range, with custom-made Tournex dual motors to control the giant 1.3t doors.

The Burke and Wills Hotel has discovered that one solution to reduce the strain on HVAC systems is the use of a revolving door at the front entrance. Based in Toowoomba in South Queensland – which can plunge below 5 degrees and experience frost and wind chill in winter – the Burke and Wills Hotel has installed a Boon Edam Tourniket revolving door, installed by their distribution partner, Auto Ingress.
