When work started on the Southern section of the HS2 line, they realised the site periemeters came very close to the curbline of the public footpath and in fact needed to step out into the road. SCS Rail needed a construction hoarding system that would protect the site and passers-by whilst also restricting visibility to the public. They also wanted to reuse and realign the hoarding system in question for a more sustainable and cost-effective solution over the traditional timber hoarding. After searching for an alternative to timber hoarding on our website, the FenceSafe Hoard was selected for the project.

However, one store understood that board could easily be ripped down and used as barricades against the police once entered the site. A single-pipe hot water system based has been installed with 1.2km of RAYCHEM HWAT-R self-regulating heating system supported by 13 RAYCHEM HWAT-ECO controllers. As the system uses half the pipework of a conventional recirculation system, on-site installation time was cut dramatically and this was enhanced further by use of the RayClic connection systems. It also meant that space savings could be made in walls and ceiling voids. The system is low-maintenance, a critical factor due to the sensitive nature of this building and can now be very easily extended during further planned developments.

With the London team nearly doubling in size in the last 15 years, the company has recently relocated to new premises next to the Old Bailey. Aiming to support an integrated, hybrid way of working, partitioning experts Style worked with architects, HLW and contractor, BW, to create flexibility within the meeting rooms. Dorma Hüppe Variflex moveable walls intersect to form a T-shape, allowing up to three individual meetings rooms to be created. With semi-automatic operation, the acoustic seals expand to exactly the required pressure to deliver an impressive acoustic performance of 55db Rw, allowing meetings to take place either side of the partition entirely undisturbed. Finished in a stretched Kvadrat fabric, the moveable walls blend seamlessly with the chic office interior décor. The new Old Bailey offices will provide a vibrant, modern home for the rapidly growing London team of over 1,200 employees. The Coventry Building Society Arena is an award-winning complex situated in the heart of the UK. Maximising revenue opportunities for the exhibition and conference area, Style was commissioned to install a 10 metre high Dorma Hüppe Variflex moveable wall, allowing the 54 metre wide hall to be divided into two separate rooms or left as one vast, open-plan space. Delivering an excellent acoustic rating of 55dB, the partitioning wall allows concurrent events to be run undisturbed on either side.Helping ensure the safe operation of such a large moveable wall, Style recommended the i-Track system which uses a sequence of curves and internal track switches to allow the smooth and easy movement of the heavy panels. A glass HSW (Horizontal Sliding Wall) was installed, giving staff the ability to rapidly divide the room into two, sectioning off a VIP gaming area to create a unique experience for clients. The moveable wall neatly divides the VIP area away from the main public gaming room, with a lockable full height intermediate door for ease of access. The bronze opaque textured glass allows light to flow through the entire area but offers the level of privacy required for a private room. Back in 2016, the St Mary Magdalene C of E School were in need of a major perimeter demarcation for their 2 hectares of land, MUGA pitches, access control and bespoke playground fencing to prevent unauthorised access onto their premises. The picturesque Isle of Skye is the latest setting for Falco’s most recent cycle shelter installation, taking place at the Sabhal Mòr Ostaig higher education college, which is also the National Centre for Gaelic Language and Culture, located in the Sleat peninsula to the south of the island.Falco installed two FalcoZan-180 cycle shelters at the college’s Àrainn Chaluim Chille campus, providing students and staff members with up to twenty secure and lockable cycle parking spaces.Each bay of the adapted FalcoZan shelter, featuring bespoke lockable gates, is manufactured from a combination of hot-dip galvanised steel with FSC® certified hardwood slats. The FalcoZan is coupled with the popular five stand Toaster cycle rack, providing universal cycle parking for all types of cycle designs. The steelwork on each lockable store has been powder coated in an attractive RAL 5005 Signal Blue for added durability.Pictured here are both of the cycle shelter installations - one of which is located next to the spectacular Penthouse Suite, located within the Lòchran an Dòmhnallaich Tower.The FalcoZan-180 cycle shelter is the single sided version of the product range and meets EN1090 CPR which is UK law for cycle shelters. A base module is 3,980mm wide x 2,495mm deep, with a free head height of 2,100mm. The base module can be added to - to create a cycle shelter as wide as required, by using standard ‘add-on’ units.The steelwork and roof are hot dip galvanised to BS EN 1461 as standard with an option to polyester powder coat on top of this substrate if required. For the basement laboratories, Planet used p100 demountable double-glazed full-height partitions with two layers of 15mm toughened glass to reach heights in excess of three metres. The partitioning framework was set within the steel grid structure, ensuring an industrial look and incorporating slimline single-glazed and SonoTec double glazed doors with integrated venetian blinds. Planet provided a full blackout option for lab work on sensitive ancient human remains. Planet AG was responsible for the full-height atrium glazing, using 19.5mm toughened laminated glass. It required carefully spaced holes for securing attenuators that control airflow within the building.

Three pairs of Frontier Pitts PAS 68 Terra V Gates were installed at Greenwich Park venue. VIPs to Greenwich Park during this time included members of the Royal Family. After the games, our client described the Terra V Gates as the ‘Best Security Gates of the London 2012 Games’.
The Terra V Gates are a pair of bi-parting hinged gate leaves that were successfully impact tested to PAS 68 stopping a 7500kg vehicle travelling at 50mph.

Michael Laird Architects approached Planet Partitioning to provide high acoustic partitioning screens and doors, across all 4 floors of the scheme, with an extra 5th floor secured upon completion, as a result of the impressive works Planet provided.With audio being the Client’s line of work, the office space not only included meeting rooms, open plan office space and break out areas, but also ‘Jam’ rooms and recording studios. Stringent acoustic attenuation was therefore called for, with PURE100 double glazed partitioning screens and IsoPro doors being used throughout the office and meeting areas, and PURE100 single glazing used in the break out spaces. By using the PURE100 range throughout, the scheme ensured the head and base details remained uniform across all 4 floors.For the Jam rooms and recording studios, Planet recommended specialist PURE200 triple glazed screens, which can achieve staggering acoustics of 64dB Rw, ensuring workers wouldn’t be disturbed while staff ‘rock out’!ech panels were integrated to the partitioning screens surrounding the meeting rooms, as an easy way to book the rooms remotely and to notify staff of when the rooms are booked, and by whom.Planet designed a bespoke ‘zig-zag’ glazed partitioning screen to run along the front of a section of offices. The completed effect was quite striking and greatly received by the client and architect.

This is the latest cycle hub designed, manufactured, supplied and installed by Falco as part of a new regeneration at Walkden Railway Station. Boosting sustainable travel access for Walkden residents, the new cycle hub has been commissioned by Salford City Council to help combat congestion, provide dedicated off-street parking and provide greater cycling accessibility to and from the station.The 12m x 4.5m bespoke shelter is based on the UK’s most popular cycle hub design - the FalcoHub and features secure cycle parking for up to 32 bikes, utilising traditional Sheffield cycle stands. The steelwork of the roof has been powder coated in a ‘Traffic Blue’ RAL colour, whilst the rest of the steelwork has been powder coated in a seperate ‘Squirrel Grey’ RAL colour. LED lighting with a occupancy sensor has been fitted to the roof alongside bespoke branding graphics which have been applied to the toughened safety glass cladding.The new cycle hub makes use of the FalcoSmart app-based locking system, which uses Bluetooth technology to activate the locking mechanism from the users smart phone or tablet, with the benefit that they no longer need to carry keys or fobs. Cyclists are able to apply for access to the hub via the Council and having downloaded the ‘App’ are given access rights to the cycle hub for a period of time depending on their subscription.The system has a fully automated back office enabling the administrator to register new locks for new cycle stores as well as adding new users and creating groups and assigning rights. The OWO hotel, previously the Old War Offices in London, opened for the first time to the public in Summer 2023 as the UK’s first Raffles Hotel offering 85 unique private residences, nine exciting restaurants, three iconic bars, Guerlain’s first London Spa and an active wellness by Pillar Wellbeing.Working with EPR Architects, and Ardmore Construction, partitioning expert Style was specified to sub-divide the impressive main ballroom with a 6.5 metre high Dorma Huppe Variflex semi-automatic moveable wall.With an incredible 60dB acoustic rating, noisy events can take place either side of the wall without sound interference, and the operable wall has a chic fabric finish to perfectly complement the interior design of the room.Style also installed Dorma Hüppe’s unique i-Track system, designed to make the moving of tall moveable walls both simple and safe for the operator.Cleverly harnessing the kinetic energy created by panel movement, i-Track utilises that momentum to effortlessly facilitate a change in direction as each panel passes through the curves, into and out of the parking pocket. Track diverters are also used to manually program the carriers to automatically move each panel to the correct parking location.In addition, Style was also specified to install four more 59dB Dorma Hüppe Variflex semi-automatic moveable walls to create a series of flexible meeting rooms, enabling staff to quickly adapt the space depending on usage.Built on the historic royal site of Whitehall Palace, this is where Ian Fleming conjured up the idea of James Bond having been inspired by the building’s resident spies. Web developers, Mission Communications, were looking to make a positive impact on visitors to their West End offices. Stainless steel specialists, GEC Anderson ,were asked to provide the stainless steel elements, comprising surface, side-panels and shelf components that formed part of the main reception counter. With some imaginative use of lighting as well as glass panes, the result was very creative but also highly professional looking. Behind the main counter were some other stainless steel worktops as well as sinks that formed part of the office tea point and catering facilities.GEC Anderson’s usual EN 1.4301 grade brushed satin stainless steel was used throughout.
