Coopers installed FireMaster fire curtains with smoke control over the lift door openings on each of the ground and upper seven floors and two on the basement so a total of forty eight curtains.
An important part of the design of the building on the ground and first floor was to subtly integrate the fire curtain headbox and side guides into the lift opening.

A beautiful combination of old and new at this Grade A office development in Manchester’s vibrant Northern Quarter. Tribeca House was designed by Falconer Chester Hall and delivered by Barnfield Construction. The original building suffered significant fire damage back in 2007 and Kamani Property Group had the surviving façade restored and sensitively combined with its new, adjoining development.A modern take on the architecture of the Northern Quarter, the new building complements the red-brick façade of the original building. Through AGF, Metal Technology Ltd supplied its high performance curtain walling systems which had a feature that enabled an interface with the striking COR-TEN (steel) vertical feature fins. The 7 storey commercial development includes high quality office and retail space, bringing further regeneration to this dynamic area of Manchester.Metal Technology products used were: System 5-35Hi Tilt Turn Windows, System 10-35 Thermally Broken Commercial Door (roof terrace), System 17 HR High Rise Curtain Walling and System 17 SP Silicone Pointed 17 High Rise Curtain Walling.We’re very proud to have been involved in this one!

When Financial IT Consultancy firm PHI Partners took possession of two run-down offices in Barnet, Hertfordshire, they tasked Interior Property Solutions (IPS) with combining the units to create a luxurious, bright and inviting executive workspace and 'Engine Room’ sales office fit for a cutting edge business.IPS wanted to create a bold impact with their door designs and choose floor to ceiling wood veneer doors, door frames and timber-framed partitions from Forza Doors.To create a unified consent look throughout the suites crown cut Black American Walnut veneer was selected for its close match to the grain of the table and AV unit in the executive meeting room. To ensure the veneers matched, Forza was sent a sample of the desk veneer and personally selected the veneer to match. We also used the same veneer on the doorframes and the Forza Imola partitions for continuity of colour and grain.
Asbestos Roof Coating & Metal Gutter Lining by Liquasil Ltd

This was a relatively small installation of under 100 sq metres of asbestos roof coating and metal gutter lining.
The asbestos cement roof was first cleaned using a closed box pressure washer, with all waste water being filtered to 2 microns.
The cleaned roof was coated using Liquasil's BBA Approved asbestos roof coating system, Asbestoseal.
The metal gutter was cleaned and thn treated with SWT (Surface and wet tolerant) corrosion primer.
Joints were treated with Non-Sag Sealer and the gutter lined with Liquasil One to provide a seamless lining.

The two tone composition of the stroage wall added depth and scale to the whole space, giving it a welcome feel and a sense of 'accommodation' than being 'hospital-like'.

A project to install a communal heating system at low rise flats and maisonettes at Bretton House and Sanders Way, in the London Borough of Islington, is using bespoke metal pipe boxings to conceal external pipework.The more efficient heating system was installed as part of Islington Council’s ongoing cyclical repair programme, which assesses all properties on a 7 to 10 year cycle to establish where improvements need to be planned & implemented.The Pendock casings are manufactured from 2mm thick corrosion resistant aluminium and incorporate a brown PPC finish to integrate with the brickwork and provide a consistent finish to the project. The use of aluminium not only improves weather resistance, but also adds tough protection to the external pipework.

A bespoke side sliding sectional garage door by Rundum Meir provides a blend of aesthetics and modern functionality in a Victorian house renovation project. The 19 ft x 12 ft garage has been transformed into a quality working space equipped and finished exquisitely, allowing for use as a utility area or office as well as a vehicular. A clear 2900mm span is provided by a sliding sectional garage door. Hand crafted using knot-free Spruce, this bespoke timber door in RAL 6021 Pale Green is fully automated with insulation between the five solid double skinned timber panels.With one third obscure glazing, the door allows for plenty of natural light to enter the garage. The design of the garage door panels and the cross styles in the window were the customer’s wish to satisfy the local conservation area requirements. It is the perfect example of the role a Rundum Meir garage door can play in transforming a garage to give it new purpose and flexibility.

The London borough of Camden’s extensive heating system renewal and refurbishment programme at the St Silas Estate is using bespoke manufactured metal pipe boxing boxing from Pendock to conceal external pipework on several high rise blocks where the community heating system is being upgraded.The metal boxing from the Pendock Profiles range is bespoke manufactured from 2mm thick aluminium to ensure it fully conceals the vertical and horizontal pipework used on the new heating system. Incorporating two PPC finishes in brown and dark yellow to integrate with the brickwork, the boxing not only conceals the pipework, but also protects it from damage.

Based on an aggregation of ratings across all of the core services provided from the hospital, the hospital has been rated by Care Quality Commission as ‘Outstanding’.Architect – Hunters ArchitectsProduct – SL500 bi-parting doors in slim-eco profiles with fixed side screens of up to 8 panels covering 6.7m on 4 separate bays.The works encompass a full ward refurbishment comprising of layout changes, floor, wall and ceiling finishes, sanitary appliances, mechanical and electrical installations, fixtures and fittings renewal and internal doors.Working alongside the project lead architect, we assisted with the design to create 4 new ward entrance screens, to assist with reducing noise and air pollution, creating a more welcoming and comfortable patient environment. Our slim-eco door profiles were chosen and also provided with our unique TightSeal system, minimising any gaps around the doors. In addition to the door profiles, directional activation units were installed, contributing even further to eliminate unnecessary opening cycles.

In the heart of a bustling garden centre, our team was tasked with revamping the entrance to a popular cafe. The existing domestic grade UPVC door system struggled to cope with the high pedestrian traffic and lacked the necessary user-friendliness and accessibility features.To address these challenges and elevate the cafe’s entrance, we embarked on a comprehensive redesign product. Our solution revolved around the design and fabrication of a commercial-grade aluminium shop front system, meticulously crafted to cater to the diverse needs of the cafe’s customers. At the core of this system, we installed a large single sliding automatic door with integrated electronic locking and a safety pocket door, ensuring both safety and reliability. This upgrade not only facilitated seamless and quiet operation but also significantly improved accessibility, particularly for disabled visitors, while effortlessly managing the constant flow of foot traffic.In addition to functionality, aesthetics were a key consideration in our design approach. Custom graphics were incorporated into the shop front, giving the entrance a distinct company identity that resonated with the cafe’s brand. Moreover, we installed an internal dividing glazed screen to provide wind and chill resistance for diners, enhancing their overall comfort. Metal Roof Coating & Liquid Gutter Liner, Oxfordshire

This is a metal roof coating & liquid gutter lining project carried out at Oxford Brookes University.
The roof was power washed and the gutters cleaned before application.
The gutters were treated with Liquasil's rust primer to prevent further rusting, before the seamless, silicone Gutterseal system was applied.
The roof was coated with a single coat of Metalseal 20 in Goosewing Grey.

The refurbishment design by Architects AWW (Atkins Walters Webster) specified a high performance façade system engineered to reduce air leakage and exceed current insulation values. Commenting on the scheme, project architect Mark Alker Stone said: “AWW is refurbishing this prominent building to provide a contemporary building as a new landmark within Colindale that benefits the local area in terms of its architectural quality, energy performance and contribution to Edgware Road.”
Metal pipe boxing adds the finishing touch in Camden

Extensive upgrades to the distributed heating system at two low-rise housing blocks by Camden London Borough Council, have chosen Pendock bespoke metal pipe boxing to conceal and protect exterior pipework.The 3 storey Ludham block and 6 storey Waxham building provide more than 200 dwellings, which are occupied by both tenants and leaseholders. Following the installation of the heating system pipework to the exterior of the buildings, the Pendock aluminium and PPC coated boxing was installed to provide a uniform and more aesthetic finish to the project while also providing weather protection.
Corridors Refreshed with Yeoman Shield Wall & Door Protection

Following in the footsteps of a string of successful installations at the Northern General Hospital, Sheffield, Yeoman Shield products were again chosen as part of the refurbishment of the hospital’s Firth C & D floor corridors.With the need to refresh the interior walls and doors, as well as future proof them from further damage and marking, a variety of products from Yeoman Shield’s range were employed.Corridor doors, which are on the frontline when it comes to impact damage, were fitted out with Yeoman Shield Door Edge Protectors and PVCu clad glazing beads, both in a graphite colour. Contrasting Mid Grey Door Protection Panels were installed to both sides of the doors with vulnerable architrave and framework also protected by Yeoman Shield products.This comprehensive, fire rated, door protection system will extend the life cycle of expensive fire doors helping to keep them in good working order.Yeoman Shield Guardian Handrails in the same colour scheme were fitted along the hospital passageways. Bespoke metal brackets were manufactured by Yeoman Shield to implement the spanning of the rail over pillars though out a glazed corridor.Beneath the handrail 2mm thick FalmouthEx Wall Protection Panels were fixed to offer low level protection. A cream colour was chosen for the panels accompanied by Mid Grey Corner Protection Angles to keep a light and airy feel to the scheme.Pete Trenchard, who specified and project managed the scheme on behalf of Sheffield Teaching Hospitals added “When carrying out improvements and refurbishment of the corridors, in line with the STH standard colour scheme and standard fit out, I was keen to incorporate the Yeoman Shield range of products to achieve a long-term solution.“The specification of Yeoman Shield products on corridor walls, vulnerable corners, doors, frames & architraves, protects the fabric of the corridors without detracting from the visible aesthetic appearance expected of a hospital environment.“I worked closely with the Yeoman Shield team through the design and specification phase, drawing on their expertise to find a cost-effective fit for purpose solution. The site survey and installation offered a start to finish package which has been contributory to the successful and well received outcome of the project”.

A stunning design by architects Townscape, Peter O’Sullevan House is located at the front entrance of the British Racing School in Newmarket. It provides the horse racing community in East Anglia with a local specialist facility for treatment and training. The facility incorporates a hydrotherapy pool, gymnasium, treatment rooms, changing rooms, conference room, offices and meeting rooms. Forza Doors supplied high dB acoustic American White Oak veneer fire doors and solid American White Oak frames as well as Class 0 spread of flame fire-rated wall cladding panels. All the veneers were laid horizontally to match perfectly down the length of the corridors and open spaces. The feature grooves embedded into the doors provide a smart contemporary look and align with the adjacent panels. As this innovative building needed a high level of internal finishes and fittings throughout, the contractor RG Carter chose Forza Doors. Just one of several jockey rehab centres we have had the privilege to supply in recent times. Consisting of open plan areas, treatment rooms and hydrotherapy zones, the finished project looks stunning.

Lightweight structural concrete for composite metal deck floor extension

A complete rework of a postmodern office building (60 London Wall), situated in the heart of the City of London. The project aim was to extensively refurbish, reconfigure, reinvent and reposition the building.Due to the addition of a composite metal deck floor extension and additional steel frame for the top floors, Tarmac’s Toplight C lightweight structural concrete was seen as the perfect solution as it could be pumped and ensured a weight loss of 30% whiel maintaining the necessary structural performance.
Great Portland Street - Side Mounted Rooftop ASF Stowe Post and Rail

ASF were approached to manufacture and supply our Stowe pattern post and rail for a roof garden project on Great Portland Street in London.This meant a number of the posts had to be adapted to have a side mounted baseplate which would then fix directly to the steelworks of the building. A new pattern was created that hosted a very heavy duty baseplate. As standard and manufactured in our 100% recycled grade 250 Cast iron, ASF posts in isolation will meet and exceed the 3kN loading requirement (the highest requirement for any standard railing product), but we made these ones in SG420/12 ductile iron for even more strength. The posts were supplied with stainless steel rails that were pre bent and supplied so they could be easily fixed on site using internal connectors

ForFarmers is a market leading international feed company that offers feed solutions for conventional and organic livestock farming.Project/doors:21 Hart Doors across 4 sites including Speedor Super, Speedor Storm and Speedor MiniThe challengeDue to the contents of the building, regular industrial doors were not acceptable as they had to be left open, allowing pigeons to enter the building, resulting in damage to the produce.The solutionThe front elevation of the building had to be sealed to prevent vermin egress while also allowing truck access in a fast and safe way. Speedor high speed doors activated by vehicles allow for efficient movement in and out of the building.The successThe doors, installed at feed intake tipping bays, improve aesthetics of the facility, prevent ingress of wildlife into the building and dust being blown over adjacent properties. Speedors do a tremendous job when required for fast open/close cycles at locations such as this where tipping feed can create dust for example. We designed taller and narrower doors – 7.5m high x 3.2m wide – to accommodate the dimensions of the tipping trucks and overall the installation works very well for a happy client

Concave sliding door creates unique curved garage space in redevelopment project

A Rundum Original sliding garage door spanning 8m wide and 2.2m high was integrated within the new designs by BWP Architects for a major property renovation, transforming a house which had evolved in an uncoordinated and poorly designed way. The door provides access to a large garage space below the property’s garden level and its shape coordinates elegantly with a car turntable installed immediately in front and surrounding landscaping.The owner tasked BWP with bringing new life to the property which has many original features. Undoing of previous conversion and extension work was necessary to enable the rebuilding of the residential property to a significantly higher standard, complete with the feature garage. An existing detached garage to the rear was partially demolished and converted to create a private formal rear courtyard. The replacement curved garage is a stunning visual element, with the new automated Rundum Original door’s high quality Larch complemented by bronze coloured bespoke balustrading to add a dramatic and artistic feature to the access stair and upper courtyard over the garage.The Rundum Original side sliding door is automated using two door mounted MZ4 drives which are custom made to automate these bespoke doors. These motors allow the door to traverse the curving tracks smoothly and quietly as required for this project. The door was designed in conjunction with Rundum Meir’s UK team before being hand-crafted by its garage door experts. The new Dunfermline Learning Campus will incorporate the relocation of a college and two schools: a new Fife College Halbeath Campus, St Columba’s RC High School and Woodmill High School. Due to open in 2024, the 55 acre, circa £220m ‘super-campus’ will accommodate up to 2,700 school pupils and 2,500 college students.Designed by AHR Architects, the high school development is being delivered by BAM Construction for Fife Council and is one of the largest Passivhaus buildings in the world, at 26,666m². The schools form part of AHR’s and Fife Council’s journey to reduce energy use and carbon emissions.Metal Technology has been appointed to supply its ‘next generation’ System 5-45 Hi+ Inward Opening Windows and System 17 Hi+ Curtain Walling. The striking five-storey building at the Ellesmere Port Campus of West Cheshire College is constructed on a circular plan, which creates a large open space and atrium.From the ground floor to the uppermost level, a series of Pendock Radius metal column casings conceal the structural supports, which provide clean lines that integrate with the interior.
Salcombe residence stands up to coastal conditions featuring Reynaers aluminium door and window systems

The goal for this residential dwelling in Salcombe was to create a completely unique space, nestled into the cliff-side to provide a feeling of comfort and seclusion, while maximising the views over the estuary. To achieve this, ten Reynaers aluminium lift-and-slide doors, alongside aluminium windows and single-entrance doors were installed. The aluminium frames provide the strength and stability required for large expanses of glazing, while delivering required pascal ratings to resolutely stand up to enduring winds and harsh coastal conditions. Pre-anodized paint adds further durability to protect the property from the elements.

The Amiata bath and basins in a bespoke Matt Black finish were chosen to appear on The Block, an Australian home renovations television show.This is a striking and contemporary bathroom, complete with open shower. Liquid gutter liner applied to metal gutter in Glasgow

This project involved sealing a metal gutter in Glasgow.
Leaks were present at most of the steel profile joints and rust was evident throughout.
Heavy rust and soiling was first removed and then the entire length of the gutter was treated with Liquasil's corrosion primer, to prevent further rusting.
Once cured, Liquasil Non Sag Sealer was applied to all joints. Non Sag Sealer has 1400% elasticity, to cope with extreme thermal movement.
The whole gutter was then coated with Liquasil One to form a seamless and leak-free gutter lining.
