This striking new-build home sits in the heart of the Blackheath conservation area in South East London. The two storey structure features a large set of Grand Slider II sliding doors at ground floor level that seamlessly connects the living space with its garden.
Constructed on the site of a former mews, the pavilion-style property features an innovative design with a completely open plan living space on the ground floor of the main structure which features the 5-panel, 11m wide set of sliding doors on an OXXXO configuration.
Secondary glazing solutions for baby’s comfort in North London home

A Selectaglaze secondary glazing treatment to a set of patio doors in a suburban home in Cockfosters, North London makes a living room warmer and more comfortable for a couple’s new born baby.
A Series 10 2-pane horizontal sliding unit was installed to the patio doors. The opening was 2m x 2m and it was important that the treatment would match the existing sightlines. Timber grounds were fixed into the reveal, which had skirting boards. Installers scribed into the timber frame to create matching grooves and nuances to fit snug in the reveal and over the skirting.

Positioned at the end of Stansted Airport runway, is a brand-new College which opened its doors for the first time in September 2018. With just one runway serving all take off and landings, and the college’s location not far from the end of it, noise was a big concern.
Selectaglaze helped provide a tailor-made solution with secondary glazing. It is the most effective method of acoustic insulation for windows in extremely noisy areas.
Selectaglaze installed 32 units across the college with their Series 10 - 2 and 3 pane horizontal sliders and a Series 41 casement door.

Crystal Window & Door Systems fabricated over 2,100 windows and doors for the project. All of the windows and the storefront of the structure were coated in Powdura® 5000 coatings from Sherwin-Williams General Industrial Coatings,in the colors Bronze and Cloud. The fluoropolymer resins and solar reflective pigments in this powder coating defend against UV radiation, enhance thermal stability and deliver a hard, durable finish to combat wear and tear. As a result, the materials will require less maintenance, because the durability of these coatings will serve to protect the integrity of the structure’s design well into the future.

When Mersey Care upgraded their existing leaf-and-a half bedroom door arrangements, they wanted to improve the anti-barricade access and robustness of their doors – while still having a clear opening width of 1000mm.
They found the leaf-and-a-half arrangement wasn’t ideal – with a bulky meeting stile and additional exposed metalwork.
To address this, we proposed an extra-wide single leaf Symphony doorset. Aided by market-leading fire evidence, the leaf is 1100mm providing a clear opening of 1050mm – more than enough space for a service user and two members of staff.
The Scene, Walthamstow and Park View – Sidcup

Howe Green supplied the Tile-a-Door+ Wall Access Panels manufactured in a bespoke size to fit Hill’s specific tile grids. The panels can be custom made to the millimetre and are supplied ready to tile with up to a 10mm thick finish, making the installation process quick and straightforward

BoKlok is a home ownership concept from Sweden, owned by Skanska and IKEA that produces sustainable, quality, low cost, space-saving, functional housing at a price that enables as many people as possible to afford a comfortable home. Working in Conjunction with IDMH (a modular timber framed housing contractor) a range of great value homes in the heart of South Bristol were created. A total of 94 homes consisting of a mix of residential houses and apartments. Product supplied:ReadyFIT interior doorsets featuring a Paintgrade Premium door design primed in white with satin ironmongery. These were non fire rated. Riser and communal doors were provided for the project in Paintgrade premium design with an FD30 fire rating. SecureFIT Flat Entrance Doorsets were also supplied in the Paintgrade Premium door design fully finished in Grey for a premium aesthetic. These are FD30 fire rated for increased protection. The high-quality health and fitness changing facilities were fitted with leisure glass lockers in the form of our leisure lockers in one compartment, two-compartment and three compartments fitted with 10mm glass-silk blue doors. We also supplied cubicles, bench seating, and IPS which complemented the area. The wet side changing and dry sports changing areas were supplied with leisure lockers. Locker doors were selected from the Formica range in a mix of violet, heather and grey, red, yellow and oak, leaf green, lime and grey and tropical blue, blue and grey.

Bunn Leisure Holiday Park has revamped its facilities at Chichester resort. Part of the works included the supply of new leisure lockers and the refurbishment of the existing lockers for both the wet and dry areas of the swimming pool complex. We designed, supplied and installed the new units as well as completely overhauling the existing lockers.
Lockers are all three compartments in standard 1800mm x 300mm wide and 450mm deep banks with aluminium body and laminated doors in a mix of colours. Works included replacing of door springs along with coin lock replacements, number wrist straps and locker numbers.

Washroom’s highly engineered, full height Marcato cubicles provide the perfect solution for a cutting edge research facility at Imperial College in London.
With a flush fronted and rebated finish, the division panels and doors of the Marcato cubicle, which were manufactured from 20mm Formica HPL, meet edge to edge for maximum privacy. Two complementing shades of Formica were specified - a sky blue for the cubicle doors, pilasters and Concerto duct panelling and a soft grey as a contrast for the interior division panels.
Washroom also designed, manufactured and installed Corian vanity units in a crisp white.

This Grade II listed building in Thames Ditton dates from 1792. The former manor house, priory and chapel was repurposed as a care home in 1905 by the Nuns of Compassion, yet in recent years the historic buildings have posed challenges to delivering modern standards of care.
Oliver & Robb Architects have rationalised the design in a renovation project to created 78 luxury bed spaces.
We were appointed to design, supply and install a total of 263 timber tilt and slide sash windows, tilt and turn windows, single doors and French doors to sympathetically upgrade the property.

Accoya windows take in first-class views at split level Hastings home

Accoya was used to construct the external windows, window reveals & doors.
38 Accoya fixed & opening windows were installed, & 22 glazed door leafs. They will require little maintenance over their lifetime due to the process in which the wood is made.

Accoya was recommended by distributor Tecade for use in the construction of the building.
Tecade recommended the use of Accoya to ensure that the building would sit well in its natural surroundings, while also maintaining its structural integrity in the harsh environment.
Accoya was used for all applications throughout the home including the façade, interior doors, indoor & outdoor furniture, terrace, garage door & railings. The architect specified 28mm X 150mm of Accoya for the outdoor terrace & constructed the terrace furniture using around 1 cubic meters of Accoya to build 3 tables & 36 chairs for external use.

When it was being built, the trust specified a need for practical and safe en-suite locksets that were also consistent with the window and door handles.
Our Primera 1-way SOS (Staff Override System) locksets were fitted on all of the en-suite rooms, offering superior safety by allowing staff to unlock the door even if the service user was to hold the turn/pull. P
Plus our standard anti-ligature push/pull handles was fitted across the ward, providing consistency .

Komfort Partitioning Ltd
Komfort’s Polar glazed partitions were used to divide spaces and create enclosed meeting areas. This is a stylish solution which allows light to permeate the space and creates an environment which encourages collaboration and creativity.
Manifestations were used on the glazing to meet Health and Safety regulations and also to provide privacy when necessary.
To maximize the use of space, whilst meeting stringent fire and acoustic performance requirements, we selected our Komfire system. Komfire offers a distinct angular partition that was integrated with door frames.
Komfort manufactured the ceilings and Formica doors which were used on the meeting rooms.
Trowse Primary School Lockers Project

Helmsman two compartment heavy-duty lockers were supplied, delivered and installed by Helmsman professionals in Trowse Primary School corridors. Bespoke specification of 1600mm height and a range of different door colours were chosen to brighten up this primary school. Each compartment door was fitted with an oval laminated number plate, from 1 to 60 twice. Blue and grey themed lockers were fitted on the first floor, while green and grey themed lockers were fitted on the second floor to split the floors. Diamond swivel locks were fitted on the lockers for an easy use and the pleasing aesthetics.
Chorlton High School Laminate Lockers Project

It’s prime time for the education sector to refurbish and service institutions. Helmsman manufactured and installed almost 200 new laminate lockers in a high school in Manchester. These laminate lockers were extra heavy duty. Having ‘extra’ heavy-duty lockers means that the laminate doors inset into the locker frame and creates extra durability. The advanced locking design provides a return lip within the internal door frame for the hooked cam to lock behind. In addition, there is a locking slot in the door frame upright that enables secure locking in two places. These stable and fire retardant four compartment lockers have created storage for 776 students.The Laminate used was Arpa Fucisa, which makes the corridors pop. The laminate lockers are all standard sizes of 1775mm high x 300mm wide x 450mm deep. This project included a standard 150 mm stand with the rear leg which has been cladded with matching laminate panels to have a fully secure, clean and aesthetically pleasing effect. Arpa Fucisa also used for the sidewall to locker infill. Chorlton school chose to have engraved numbers on each locker door. We worked with Squire Sanders, the global law firm, and their architect Jacobs Webber, to design their contemporary headquarters. Based in Central London at 7 Devonshire Square, their space needed to be professional, functional and fit with the aesthetic of the rest of their offices located in various countries around the world.In their building, we fitted secondary doors – for cupboards and storage spaces – that were full-height and designed to discreetly hide the casing of sliding folding walls to create a smooth and sleek interior. They worked perfectly with the architect’s plans so that the company had to make no compromises on the design they wanted within the space that they had.We also spent time drawing up a completely bespoke design for their fire extinguisher cupboards, factoring in aesthetics, function, and safety. The end result consisted of cupboards with a concealed frame, a stainless steel wrapped door, and a vision panel to see within the unit from the exterior.In terms of the doors themselves, we worked with the architect and the law firm to select the Arriva, Innova, models and bespoke SS-Faced Arriva models. These choices allowed us to create designs that worked perfectly for their use and allow the design to flow throughout their headquarters.The end result is effortlessly modern, and the design is consistent with their global branding. Now reimagined as The Edinburgh Grand, the formerA-listed RBS head office built between 1938 and 1942 is animpressive building situated on St Andrew Square. With manypieces of Victorian antique brass and pewter ironmongeryand hundreds of original period doors throughout, theironmongery solution had to accommodate the traditionalaesthetic and be fit for the many demands of a modern hotel.Allgood was commissioned by the project’s architect andinterior designer, both long term partners of Allgood; KarenBrown of Chris Stewart Group and Eirini Christodoulou ofMorgan McDonnell. With such a striking, but unusual finish,finding coordinated hardware was a challenge. Severaloptions were assessed before settling on a brass finishapplied to the Allgood door closers, cylinders and joinerysubcontractor’s hinges.A collection of classic Frank Allart handles was chosen for allapartment front doors, which also integrated with the hotel’saccess control system. To match the patina of the agedhandles, a satin nickel-plated surface was given a light bronzefinish to produce an aged nickel silver appearance. Thisunlacquered, ‘living’ finish, will oxidize and patinate naturallyover time.

The Lindner Group played a major role in the interior fit-out: Partition walls made of wood and glass – including Lindner Logic 100 Timber, Lindner Life Pure 620 and Lindner Life Clear – separate the rooms elegantly. A wide variety of prints turn the glass partitions into individual eye-catchers. The Lindner Free Timber wall covering ensures a harmonious appearance of the walls. The doors with wooden or glass door leaves blend in perfectly with the walls and have been fitted with Lindner Plus aluminium frames, wooden stick frames and door handles. There is also a Lindner special solution in the building: around 75 m² of Lindner Life Pure 620 was installed as rounded glazing. The Forge, Upton Park

Built on the site of the former East London Bus Garage, The Forge creates 192 residential apartments clustered around communal courtyards. Working alongside installer Ravenworth, a two-million pound systems package of 1,000 aluminium windows, 170 aluminium patio doors and 20 aluminium commercial doors were provided to this project.The light buff buildings range from three to five storeys with a contrasting white brick 14-storey focal building. This forms the gateway to the development together with a row of interestingly designed townhouses. Each block displays frequent openings with contrasting areas of glazing and cladding, softened with balconies.

GEC Anderson’s stainless steel worktops, sinktops, doors and splashbacks have been chosen for the modern Café Bar at The Hepworth Wakefield art gallery in West Yorkshire, for their contemporary and accurate appearance as well as their hygienic qualities associated with food service.
The stunning building is formed of ten different sized trapezoidal blocks constructed using pigmented, self-compacting concrete and recently listed in The Times ‘Top 50 Galleries in the World’.
The continuous stainless steel worktop installed behind the main serving counter of the Café Bar incorporates sinks, plinth, cupboards doors and splashbacks, all in brushed satin stainless steel.

We’ve created a striking new reception area plus contemporary monochrome superloos and a cycle change area as part of an office refurbishment.
Each self-contained superloo cubicle contains a toilet and wall-mounted vanity unit, with the full height Alto toilet cubicle doors providing complete privacy for office staff. Manufactured in white high pressure laminate, the toilet cubicle doors were completed with matching Corian solid surface edging and black ironmongery to match the rest of the black washroom accessories.
Washroom also delivered toughened low iron glass back-painted wall panelling for each toilet cubicle.

We’ve installed new unisex ‘superloos’ to make the most of the available space on every floor of the iconic Heal’s building in London following an extensive refurbishment programme.
The self-contained 'superloo' cubicles each has its own vanity unit and hand drying facilities.
Natural stone vanities, featuring inset waste bins, were installed along with wall panelling and our Concerto integrated duct panel system both finished in toughened glass.
Our full height Alto toilet cubicle doors, which were metal faced and feature bespoke door handles, specially designed for this project, complete the design.
