For acoustic reasons, the volume is detached and surrounded by gardens and planted facades.For the façade and to mark the identity of the brand, 3dny Studio got inspired by the relation with the fashion industry of the company using leather jackets fringes as reference.Behind this curtain facade, the volume is fully glassed. Our B-Box roller shades are used to protect the large openings over the triple height of the hall. In association with a Polyscreen ® 351 in White color, it maintains comfort and views and become part of the graphic façade.

Knowing SAS well, they were seeking a manufacturing and design partner to realise true innovation in product design and engineering. There are many architectural features of note both inside and outside of the building. That said, you immediately notice the ceiling once inside, it is unlike anything seen previously. The Integrated Ceiling Panels combine acoustics, lighting and temperature control. This is a first for the UK and likely globally. Achieving a 98.5% ‘Outstanding’ BREEAM rating, the project is the most sustainable commercial office building in Europe.

With just one runway serving all take off and landings, and the college’s location not far from the end of it, noise was a big concern. Selectaglaze helped provide a tailor-made solution with secondary glazing. It is the most effective method of acoustic insulation for windows in extremely noisy areas. Selectaglaze installed 32 units across the college with their Series 10 - 2 and 3 pane horizontal sliders and a Series 41 casement door.

With the emphasis on the display and teaching of design, the priority for designer John Pawson and Dutch architects OMA was equally about the building’s new reconfigured interiors and the design and performance of the products used. For example, the Museum’s galleries are arranged around an oak and marble lined atrium with floors covered in pale grey terrazzo while Troldtekt acoustic panels tie spaces together with a visually attractive textured surface.

A major contribution to the comfort of the occupants is the use of Troldtekt ceiling tiles in both classrooms and the sports hall. Located inside in Reading, Fora have opened their first flexible workspace outside of London. Planet worked with ISG and Piercy & Co on the internal glazing requirements for the new location. Planet’s LOFT54 partitioning was specified for the rentable meeting rooms and offices. The demountable partitioning was paired with Planet’s IsoTec doorsets which are a perfect aesthetic match for the LOFT system. LOFT100 was used for the first and second floor meeting rooms, due to its excellent acoustic ratings. The glazing consists of two layers of glass, 12.8mm and 14.8mm, which combined reached a 54dB Rw rating.

Manifestations were used on the glazing to meet Health and Safety regulations and also to provide privacy when necessary. To maximize the use of space, whilst meeting stringent fire and acoustic performance requirements, we selected our Komfire system. Komfire offers a distinct angular partition that was integrated with door frames. Komfort manufactured the ceilings and Formica doors which were used on the meeting rooms.

The installation was efficient, clean and healthier thanks to TractionBack 2.0 - Milliken's adhesive-free installation system for modular carpet. The product's Comfort Lite cushion backing also plays a key role in acoustic management of this large workspace.

Finished in a stylish antique oak laminate, and providing impressive 52dB Rw acoustics, concurrent events can take place undisturbed and the room can be reconfigured with ease.

The design involved complex geometry and integrations for a stunning acoustic wall and ceiling in MaxiBeam Light Oak finish. The project involved bespoke angled ends on the interface, precise spacing and complete integration with the lighting scheme. In addition, timescales were extremely tight so drawings with full install details and 3D visuals were turned around very quickly.

Komfort's “new addition” to their existing Sonik framed door offering, a 70mm picture framed single glazed framed doors was chosen as a balance between performance and appearance. This creaed the appearance of a traditional steel framed system with slender sections. This was achieved with the use of our Kross Glaze bars, which were applied to both sides of the doors. Kross Glaze provides a design response to the recent trend of industrial style glazing and is becoming ever more popular within residential and commercial interiors. The use of Sonik Doors also enabled stringent acoustic performance requirements to be met.
