The building boards have a wide variety of applications, including:

  • Carrier element for laying tiles, slabs and natural stone floor coverings using the thin-bed method.
  • Adhesive surface for applying plaster, tile adhesive and other materials.
  • For moisture protection and effective heat insulation.
  • Composite sealing with tile and slab coverings of load class A and B (directly loaded walls and floors in rooms in which tap or cleaning water is used very frequently or for long periods, walls and floors of indoor and outdoor pools that are filled with water with the properties of drinking water).

The building boards are approved for interior use in rooms at a normal temperature. Consult the manufacturer for application methods relating to special applications (swimming pools, cold stores, external areas, etc). They are approved for use on floors in rooms with an ordinary residential load. Wheeled loads with high concentrated loads are not permitted.

Description

Waterproof and heat-insulating building boards for walls, ceilings and floors, available in three sizes. They consist of a blue core manufactured from extruded polystyrene rigid foam. The rigid form is reinforced with glass fibre (with alkali-resistant finish) on both sides and coated with a polymer-modified cement.

Thickness:

When determining the U-value, only wedi building board and heat transmission resistance 1/αi and 1/αa for external walls are taken into account. In specific applications, the existing masonry and other layers must also be included.
