This additive prevents the bacteria from getting the nutrients they need, causing 99.9% of bacteria to die within 24 hours - combating the spread of harmful bacteria such as C-difficile, MRSA, Salmonella, Listeria and E.coli. As well as door faces, door edges and glazing beads can also be clad in PVC impact resistant material. Ahmarra even have secret-fix PVC clad frames, stops, architrave and kick plates to complement the door which can be specified to match or contrast with the door leaf.

High pressure laminate.

Guidance for specification option:

  • High pressure laminate is manufactured through fusing multiple layers of impregnated paper under high pressure and temperature to create a hard wearing, durable and hygienic facing material.

Wood veneer.

Guidance for specification option:

  • Wood veneers, as opposed to solid wood, provide a uniform finish - free from knots, splits and staining.
  • Wood veneers are available in either a crown cut book matched (cathedraling/ elipse/ oval grain) or quarter cut slip matched (straight grain) veneer.
  • A protective UV lacquer coating is applied to all wood veneered doors to promote longevity.

Primed.

Guidance for specification option:

  • Ready primed eco veneer is suitable for on-site painting of doors.
  • The specially formulated eco-friendly paper veneer is applied to door blanks in the same way as a veneered layon.
  • The pre-primed paper has been designed as a time saving initiative for paint grade doors and is suitable for under-skinning and concealing any lipping ensuring a smoother finish.
