Application

  • Suitable for both new builds and refurbishments, residential and commercial floors.
  • Insulation for Flat Roofs.
  • Insulation for Floors Ultrabead® can be supplied in a variety of thicknesses (minimum 50 mm).

Description

Ultrabead® is manufactured from a high-quality factory produced EPS bead that meets the BS EN 13163 standard criteria.

The product is installed by approved contractors. It is delivered to site via our computerised batching Ultrabead® lorry. It is pumped and placed to the predetermined level allowing the floor screed to be applied once set. When used as a floor insulation, a floor screed must be applied on top as the screed is not a wearing surface. Prior to floor screed being applied, it must not be trafficked.

The product is resistant to the passage of water vapour, fire, solvents and rodents. If correctly installed it has an indefinite lifespan.

The product offers a thermal conductivity (λ-value) of 0.043 W/mK. Thermal resistance (R-Value) varies with the thickness of Ultrabead and is calculated by dividing the thickness of Ultrabead by its conductivity. Consult technical literature for details.
